Pawel Sasko revealed that „the hardest quest he have ever designed and implemented” is in The Witcher 3

Pawel Sasko, the quest designer for “The Witcher 3,” shared that designing the Battle of Kaer Morhen was his greatest challenge during the game’s development. In response to a player’s appreciation for this quest on the X platform, he expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the recognition.

The most challenging puzzle I’ve ever created and set into motion is the one I’m referring to. The technical aspects proved particularly daunting, with numerous unique solutions and diverging paths that really tested my limits. It drove me close to madness and loss of sleep while attempting to piece it all together.

It’s not unexpected that such an answer turned out this way, considering the extensive freedom given during this journey, and how several elements were shaped by choices made prior in the campaign. This made crafting a unified final product quite a complex endeavor.

It’s worth noting that currently, Pawal Sasko holds the position of Game Director for Project Orion, a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.
