This release coincides with the announcement of the 4K Blu-ray version’s release date, which is April 15, and the availability of not just one, but two steelbook versions. The Limited Edition Steelbook for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will feature either Sonic or Shadow character art upon its arrival on Blu-ray. This method of releasing multiple editions with different character artwork was also used for Deadpool & Wolverine last year, so it will be intriguing to see if this format becomes a common practice in the future.
