Actress Uma Thurman has officially joined the cast of “Dexter: Resurrection” on Paramount+ and Showtime, as reported by EbMaster.
Previously declared, it’s been announced that Michael C. Hall, known for his role in “Dexter,” is set to return to the character of the title serial killer in the upcoming series. The exact storyline for “Resurrection” hasn’t been disclosed yet, but it will continue directly from where “Dexter: New Blood” left off. Joining Hall are David Zayas, James Remar, and Jack Alcott as part of the cast.
Thurman has been cast in a recurring part as Charley, who is portrayed as Leon Prater’s Head of Security. A retired Special Ops officer with a history of handling elite private security tasks, Charley now serves as the efficient and detail-oriented second-in-command for the enigmatic billionaire.
Or simply:
Thurman joins the cast as Charley, Leon Prater’s Head of Security, a former Special Ops officer turned resourceful right-hand woman to the mysterious billionaire.
Or in a more casual tone:
Thurman is stepping into the series as Charley, Prater’s top security gal. She used to be a Special Ops operator and now handles the security for this secretive billionaire. She’s like his right-hand woman, always on the ball and super detail-oriented.
While Uma Thurman is primarily recognized for her lead roles, she has also garnered significant recognition for her supporting performances. For instance, she was nominated for an Emmy for her guest appearance in the TV series “Smash,” and won a Golden Globe for her performance in the HBO movie “Hysterical Blindness.” Lately, she has been seen on shows like “Super Pumped” (a Showtime production) and “Suspicion.” Thurman was also nominated for an Oscar for her role in “Pulp Fiction” back in 1995. She later reteamed with Quentin Tarantino, the director of “Pulp Fiction,” for the “Kill Bill” films. Her recent projects include the movies “Oh Canada,” “Red, White, and Royal Blue,” and “Hollywood Stargirl.
She is repped by CAA, Untitled Entertainment, and Hansen Jacobson.
The newest endeavor, titled “Resurrection,” seeks to broaden the universe of “Dexter.” Following “New Blood,” Paramount has introduced the prequel series “Dexter: Original Sin” starring Patrick Gibson as the main character, with Michael C. Hall providing voiceover narration.
Clyde Phillips takes on the role of both showrunner and executive producer in “Dexter: Resurrection.” Additionally, Hall, Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns hold executive producer positions. Marcos Siega is set to produce and direct. The production will be handled by Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios, with distribution through Paramount Global Content Distribution.
