Bill Burr and Shane Gillis are joining forces for a special one-night comedy show, with proceeds going towards helping people who have been impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.
On Monday, January 27th, a comedy show produced by Live Nation is set to occur at Los Angeles’s Wiltern Theater. All funds raised from this event will be donated to the Wildfire Relief Fund. Ticket sales commence today at 1 p.m. Pacific Time on the Live Nation website.
The Wildfire Relief Fund is handled by GoFundMe.org, a platform that receives and distributes charitable contributions, which can be claimed as tax deductions, straight to those affected by wildfires.
Over the past fortnight, a collaborative comedy event has been part of a series of charity concerts and functions aimed at raising funds for the Los Angeles wildfires. Moreover, numerous contributions have come from Hollywood figures. This weekend, the TCL Chinese Theatre is scheduled to present benefit screenings of “Superman” and “2001: A Space Odyssey,” with all proceeds from ticket sales and snack purchases going towards L.A. wildfire relief efforts.
Come January 30th, I, as a film enthusiast, am thrilled to be part of an extraordinary event where music legends like Lady Gaga, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, Katy Perry, Sting, Billie Eilish and Finneas, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, among others, will grace the stage for the FireAid benefit concerts. The LA Clippers are footing the bill for this event, with every penny raised going straight towards rebuilding communities devastated by fires.
Furthermore, numerous hotels in nearby towns and counties throughout California are providing reduced or complimentary stays for individuals affected by the fires.
