Trey Kennedy Sets Hulu Comedy Special ‘Grow Up’ (EXCLUSIVE)

On January 24th, Trey Kennedy‘s latest stand-up comedy show is debuting on Hulu, ready for streaming.

Entitled “Growing Pains,” this hour-long production humorously guides viewers through the various challenges and triumphs associated with maturity. Kennedy filmed the family-oriented spectacle before a packed house in Salt Lake City, delving into the complexities of parenthood while also reflecting on his personal upbringing. He delves into his marriage, highlighting its unique aspects, as well as areas in his life that require further development and maturity.

According to a press statement, “Kennedy combines stand-up comedy, videos, and music for a humorous one-hour journey into his comic perspective. This includes thoughtful insights as well as witty commentaries on life’s highs and lows.

Kennedy expressed his heartfelt appreciation for Hulu’s assistance in broadcasting ‘Grow Up’,” he stated. “I am incredibly proud of this production and the way it was put together; it’s a delight that anyone from your grandma to a middle schooler can appreciate it.

Initially, Trey Kennedy gained recognition on the discontinued social media platform Vine, but now he’s widely recognized for his YouTube and TikTok videos. His content has amassed over a billion views collectively across various social platforms. In addition to this, he co-hosts a podcast titled “Correct Opinions with Trey Kennedy and Jake Triplett.” Prior to the launch of his upcoming special, he embarked on a nationwide tour for the “Grow Up” show, performing in venues all over the country.

The most recent stand-up comedy special, titled “Grow Up”, has been added to Hulu’s collection. Hulu’s array of stand-up shows debuted on November 22 with Jim Gaffigan, followed by performances from Bill Burr, Chris Distefano, Ilana Glazer, Jessica Kirson, Matteo Lane, Sebastian Maniscalco, Atsuko Okatsuka, Andrew Santino, Roy Wood Jr., Zarna Garg, Frankie Quiñones and Ralph Barbosa. As part of this initiative, Hulu is also acquiring previously released comedy specials from 800 Pound Gorilla, Comedy Dynamics and Don’t Tell Comedy.
