Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves Is Up For Preorder, Including PS5-Exclusive Deluxe Edition

The iconic SNK fighting game series Fatal Fury makes a comeback after a long hiatus, with the release of Fatal Fury: City of Wolves set for April 24, 2025 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It’s been 26 years since we last saw an entry in this series, but fans can now preorder the game starting today. There are various options to choose from, including digital and physical copies, as well as a Deluxe Edition featuring additional collectible items. Preordering also comes with its perks, such as early access to the game for some versions.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Preorder Bonus

Purchasing Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves ahead of its release grants you a special Terry Bogard costume modeled after his look in Fatal Fury 2.

Moreover, if you preorder digitally, you’ll gain early access to the entire game as much as three days before the official release date on April 21, 2025.

In the debut of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, you’ll encounter a diverse team of seventeen characters, a blend of both seasoned veterans and fresh recruits. Over the subsequent months, an additional five fighters will be introduced as part of Season Pass 1 DLC, which comes included with all editions of the game.

As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled about the upcoming features in this game. Apart from the conventional modes like online and offline versus, and arcade, it’s also going to offer an RPG mode where we, as players, can traverse South Town, engage in battles for XP, and tailor our characters to our liking. The control schemes are versatile too; opt for “Arcade Style” if you prefer the traditional inputs akin to previous Fatal Fury games, or choose “Smart Style” for a more streamlined experience with direction-based inputs, much like Street Fighter 6’s new Modern control mode.

For those who want to delve deeper into SNK’s fighting game heritage, you can reserve a copy of the remastered version of the iconic crossover brawler, SNK vs. Capcom SVC Chaos, priced at $35 on Amazon before its release date on February 11. This revamped edition of SNK’s 2003 fighting game brings together characters from Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, and Capcom’s Street Fighter series. It boasts improved online matchmaking with roll-back net code, art galleries, integrated tournament modes, and additional features. The physical edition is available for Nintendo Switch and PS4, while digital preorders are open on PS4, Switch, and PC.

In addition to experiencing your perspective of the competition, you’ll get a glimpse into Capcom’s side of their rivalry with SNK, as games like Capcom vs. SNK 1 and 2 are part of the upcoming Capcom Fighting Collection 2 on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. This collection also features other classic Capcom games such as Power Stone 1 and 2, Project Justice, Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein, and more. Although a release date hasn’t been set yet, you can preorder Capcom Fighting Collection 2 right now, with physical PS4 and Switch versions coming with a limited-edition Capcom vs. SNK comic.
