Shout! Studios Saddles Up With Star-Studded Western ‘Guns of Redemption’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Shout! Studios expands its collection of Western productions with “Guns of Redemption,” a hard-hitting frontier tale starring an ensemble headed by Casper Van Dien, Jeff Fahey, and Sean Astin.

The movie directed by Brian Skiba (“The Gunslinger”) is set to debut in cinemas and become available on digital platforms on March 7th.

The story revolves around Luke (Van Dien), a war-scarred Civil War survivor yearning for peace, who is cruelly abandoned to die. As his life hangs by a thread, Luke is compelled to put on his weapons once more in a last stand. On this perilous journey, he aims to eliminate the ruthless General Bork (Fahey) and save two women (Kaitlyn Kemp, Siena Bjornerud), who are held captive by Bork’s mobile brothel business.

Or simply:

A tale of vengeance unfolds with Luke (Van Dien), a war-worn Civil War veteran yearning for tranquility, forced to pick up his guns one last time after being left for dead. With his life slipping away, he embarks on a hazardous mission to kill General Bork (Fahey) and save two women (Kaitlyn Kemp, Siena Bjornerud), who are enslaved in Bork’s traveling brothel.

This project is a joint effort among Shout! Studios, Lighthouse Pictures, and SkibaVision Production, with additional support from Cinema Europa and Nevermore Entertainment. Veteran filmmakers Keith Merrill (“The Great American Cowboy”) and Jamie R. Thompson (“Old Henry”) developed the initial concept for the story, with Merrill taking on the task of scriptwriting.

As a devoted fan, I’d like to highlight that when it comes to the creative side of things, Skiba takes on three vital roles – cinematographer, editor, and composer. The technical crew is skillfully led by Elliott Montello, our Director of Photography, and Bruce D. Mitchell, who oversees production design.

The executive team behind this project consists of Jordan Fields, Julie Dansker, Garson Foos, Bob Emmer, Patrick Rizzotti, Joshua Huntsman, Skiba, Laurie Love, Michael Arata, and Maureen Van Mourik, joined by stars Van Dien and Fahey. Additionally, Tyler Eckels and Samantha Leigh are the co-executive producers. Jamie R. Thompson is responsible for production.

Shout! Studios has made some recent strategic moves. They have acquired global rights (except in certain Asian territories) to the prestigious Golden Princess movie library, a collection of 156 Hong Kong cinema classics that have been absent from Western markets for decades. Additionally, they have struck a deal with Mercury Studios Media Limited to distribute, exclusively in the U.S. and Canada, a catalog of Monty Python films, specials, and performances across various platforms such as AVOD, SVOD, broadcast, theater, and non-theater distribution.
