2025 promises an expansion of Dori Media’s popular series “Power Couple,” as it prepares to debut for the first time in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway, and continue its run in Brazil, Germany, and India alongside several other territories around the world. The show’s unscripted format has proven irresistible worldwide.
The romantic television show has made its way into over 20 global territories, boasting a massive production of approximately 60 seasons and around 900 episodes.
Nadav Palti, CEO & President of Dori Media Group, expressed his delight, stating that they had always thought ‘Power Couple’ had all the necessary components for a hit worldwide, but now, they are overjoyed to see this series being warmly received in so many diverse countries, from large to small.
He noted that regardless of whether it showcases celebrities or not, the format of ‘Power Couple’ is popular among local audiences across both celebrity and regular editions, and there’s a seemingly unquenchable demand for more episodes in numerous regions.
In this reality game devised by Abot Hameiri, pairs put their love, trust, and teamwork skills to the test for a shot at a substantial reward. Eight duos, one villa, and six weeks filled with challenges are up ahead, determining if their relationship has what it takes to transform assurance into wealth. The magnitude of the final prize hinges entirely on the strength of their bond.
As reported by Dori Media, the popular series “Power Couple” is coming back for its seventh season in Brazil this May, gracing our screens every evening on Record TV. Additionally, the show will simultaneously air on a digital platform, allowing viewers to stream it live at any time of the day or night.
As a movie buff, I’m thrilled to share that the Indian production house, Aarambh Entertainment, is cooking up a second season of “Power Couple”! Meanwhile, across the continent in Germany, RTL+ is gearing up to launch a homegrown adaptation of this popular format, titled “Das Sommerhaus der Normalos,” which is set to debut in the first quarter of the year. This spin-off follows in the footsteps of RTL’s celebrity version, “Das Sommerhaus der Stars,” that has been gracing our screens for a whopping nine seasons!
Additionally, the popular series “Power Couple” is set to air its ninth season in Hungary on RTL this summer, marking its sixth season on NOVA TV in Bulgaria and its fifth season on RTL in Croatia. In Slovenia, the show has been granted a third season on POP TV following a successful second season that garnered a 32% market share at 7 p.m., spanning over 20 episodes.
Last year, “Power Couple” made a splashy debut on Videoland in the Netherlands, premiering as a special celebrity-focused season. Recently, I’ve been captivated by the second season of this intriguing series airing on Antena in Romania over 24 episodes.
Last year at Mipcom, Dori Media unveiled a variety of fresh, unscripted programs. Among these were the innovative dating series “Spy Date” and “Love at Third Sight,” which delve into unexpected romance in later life, as well as the trivia game show “Smart Face,” the talent competition “Da Next,” the street game “Intuition,” the reality competition “Stand-Up Warrior,” and the high-octane variety show “The Best of All.
