In Hammerwatch 2, the latest addition to the beloved roguelite action RPG series, you embark on an adventure that includes constructing your own city and delving into diverse dungeons (currently playable exclusively on PC). Compared to its predecessor, this game brings numerous enhancements to the gameplay. Additionally, it introduces alterations to the class system. For those eager to familiarize themselves with all characters, we’ve prepared a guide especially for you. One of the playable characters is a Warlock; however, they are not immediately accessible upon starting the game. So, how do you gain access to them?

How to unlock Warlock in Heroes of Hammerwatch 2 (HOH 2)

In the game Heroes of Hammerwatch 2, there are seven playable characters initially, with three of them being accessible after certain points in the game. Unlike many roguelike and roguelite games that require completing challenges to unlock new classes, Heroes of Hammerwatch 2 makes it simpler – you don’t need to go through any intricate steps to unlock these characters. Instead, all you have to do is be patient and keep exploring different levels, as each unlockable character will eventually become available during your journey. In other words, persistence and progression through the maps are key to unlocking them all.

In the Warlock scenario, you can open them up in the Temple 1 region. Now, I’d like to clarify another point. When do you get a chance to explore it? It appears quite early in the game. You will reach this location immediately following the defeat of the first boss (the Totem).

  1. Dark Caves for Rogue (yes, this class can be unlocked earlier than Warlock),
