New Star Wars game will come out of the shadows soon. Star Wars Jedi and XCOM devs are to work on RTS

As a die-hard Star Wars gamer myself, I can’t help but get pumped up! Word on the street is that a brand new game set in a galaxy far, far away is about to be unveiled. This scoop comes from none other than Timur222, a well-known insider in our gaming industry. He’s always keeping his ear to the ground and sharing info he gathers from the official social media profiles of developers and publishers. So, let’s keep our fingers crossed and stay tuned for more updates!

An individual privy to the post about X disclosed that the enigmatic Real-Time Strategy (RTS) game, originating from the creators of the popular Star Wars Jedi series, is set to be unveiled during the forthcoming Star Wars Celebration in Japan. This grand event will transpire from April 18th through April 20th.

Back in 2022, one of the three exciting projects Electronic Arts unveiled caught my eye. It turned out that this strategy game was a collaboration between Respawn and the fresh Bit Reactor studio, led by industry legend Greg Foertsch. As an ardent fan, I’m particularly excited because he served as the artistic director for the last two versions of the XCOM series!

It’s important to mention that there might be more than one Star Wars strategy game in progress. As per the latest updates, Creative Assembly studio is working on a new Total War series installment set in the Star Wars universe. Regrettably, the scarcity of information indicates that this project is still in its early development stages.

If all the upcoming reports prove accurate, Star Wars enthusiasts have quite an intriguing future ahead. Here’s to hoping the games won’t suffer the same misfortune as the unpopular Star Wars: Outlaws.
