Hollow Knight: Silksong Creator Drops Clues Of Switch 2 Version

We haven’t had any fresh news about the highly anticipated game Hollow Knight: Silksong for some time now. But there’s a possibility that we might catch a glimpse of it during the upcoming Nintendo Direct event, which is centered around the Switch 2, scheduled for April 2nd.

On January 14, a day prior to Nintendo’s formal announcement of the Switch 2, William Pellen, the creator of Hollow Knight, hinted on Twitter, “Something significant is on its way. Stay tuned tomorrow.” Towards the end of the Switch 2 unveiling video, Nintendo additionally disclosed that they would be hosting a dedicated Direct event for the Switch 2 on April 2.

Clues don’t end with what’s been given. Interestingly, Pellen updated his Twitter profile picture to an image of a cake slice. A quick reverse search on Google shows that the recipe for this cake was shared on April 2, 2024. Fans speculate that this could be a deliberate gesture, suggesting that Hollow Knight: Silksong might be unveiled during the April 2025 Nintendo Direct presentation.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of Hollow Knight: Silksong, hoping for a reveal during Indie World Directs and Xbox Game Showcases over the last couple of years. However, these expectations went unfulfilled. Even Geoff Keighley, the host of The Game Awards, had to manage fans’ expectations by stating that it wouldn’t be featured at Gamescom 2024.

For other games on the new Switch 2 console, details are scarce as of now, but it seems a new Mario Kart game is in the pipeline for this system. A teaser displayed during its unveiling hinted at 24-player races, and we anticipate further information to be shared in April.
