Sam Lake, creative director of Alan Wake 2, expressed his sympathies, as the latest game featuring the troubled author bears a strong resemblance to Lynch’s work, with the initial game showcasing a distinct Twin Peaks atmosphere. In a post on BlueSky, Lake mentioned that Lynch had greatly impacted his life and even revealed that the internal code name for Alan Wake 2 was “Big Fish,” alluding to Lynch’s autobiographical book.
