Following College 25’s impressive performance that surpassed predictions and set new records, fans were uncertain about whether EA Sports would adhere to the usual annual release pattern for sports simulation games. However, it has now been confirmed that this game will indeed be launched annually.
11 years after its hiatus, College Football 25 signified the triumphant return of a cherished video game series that had been absent since NCAA 14, owing to legal complications regarding the use of real names and images of student-athletes who weren’t compensated.
In December 2024, the much-awaited comeback of College Football 25 was a profitable move, as it broke records to become the highest-selling sports video game in U.S. history.
It’s not unexpected that Electronic Arts (EA) aims to replicate their previous success by launching a new edition in 2025.
EA Sports confirms College Football 26
It’s been verified that we can expect the release of College Football 26 this coming summer. For your information, its predecessor, College Football 25, debuted on July 19 last year. While it’s not guaranteed that this year’s edition will hit stores on the same day, history suggests that EA tends to follow a consistent release schedule.
EA FC is a good example of this, as 24 was released on September 22, and 25 came out on the 27th.
Although the game received positive feedback, comments from players pointed out areas they believe need improvement in College Football 26.
We’re grateful that this spot is once more bustling – all thanks to our sports enthusiasts, performers, and supporters who have joined us in filling the venue!
Let’s maintain this opening day excitement until the arrival of College Football 26 this coming summer! 😊

One player proposed adding FCS and high school programs similar to what was done in ’14, along with a stadium construction tool for existing schools. He dislikes the idea of restructuring G5 schools into P5, as these schools typically have a seating capacity of around 20,000.
In the world of NCAA 14, every bowl and national championship I won during my Dynasty journey found a home in a trophy case, and all the stats from past seasons were at my fingertips. It was an awesome touch that really added depth to the game. Unfortunately, when College Football took over, this feature disappeared. Now, as a gamer, I’m yearning for its return. It would make the game mode’s narrative so much richer and more immersive if we could carry our achievements from one season to the next.
As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but express my frustration over one aspect that I believe needs improvement: the lack of a trophy case and annual record-keeping in the game’s dynasty mode. It’s really disappointing not having our achievements preserved like this!
In their latest version, Electronic Arts made several enhancements to the simulation logics and scheduling problems specific to College Football. However, gamers are expressing a desire for additional modifications within the Dynasty mode.
A third user suggested, “Could we maybe establish the norm for scheduling in our online community as routine? I find it difficult enough to follow a pre-set schedule, let alone create one myself.
The path to triumph faced criticism as a less-than-satisfying game feature due to its problematic upgrade system, lack of play selection options, and unpredictable substitutions. Despite these issues, many enthusiasts cherished its long-anticipated arrival and eagerly look forward to future updates.
