Okami Creator UNLEASHES Fury on Switch 2 Leakers: ‘Cursed for Life!’

In simpler terms, Hideki Kamiya, the creator of Okami and Bayonetta, did not hold back his disapproval towards fans who shared information about the upcoming Switch 2 before it was officially released. He expressed a hope that these individuals would encounter some peculiar repercussions as a result.

The long-awaited Nintendo Switch 2 has finally been formally unveiled on January 16, 2025, however, whispers and speculations about this eagerly awaited gadget have been circulating online for quite some time.

Before the grand unveiling of the Nintendo Switch 2, several sources leaked numerous images online, suggesting they had obtained the console.

Although certain of these leaks have been debunked previously, others presented the Joycons for the Switch 2 and even a prototype model of the device during CES in January.

With its arrival, a prominent figure from the world of Japanese video game creation has expressed his displeasure – it’s clear he wasn’t pleased with the leaked information surrounding the release of the Switch 2.

Hideki Kamiya crashes out on Switch 2 leakers

Hideki Kamiya, the creative genius behind games like Okami and Bayonetta, expressed his annoyance on social media (Twitter/X) over individuals who spoiled the unveiling of the upcoming Switch 2.

He expressed his wish that everyone involved in the leak of Switch 2 details, as well as those who aided them, would be under an eternal curse that leaves them finding fecal matter on the soles of their shoes whenever they return home.

After sharing in the excitement of the unexpected reveal of Okami with everyone, I strongly feel that… those individuals who leak information prematurely ought to experience some sort of consequence for their actions.

Those who leaked information from Switch 2 were cursed to always find feces on the back of their shoes for the rest of their lives. Now, as I listen to the god’s presentation and feel the surprise shared with all users, I can’t help but think… May every fecal leaker be cursed alone…

It’s understandable that Kamiya feels agitated, given his ongoing work on the Okami sequel. This project was officially unveiled at the 2024 Game Awards, marking a long-awaited continuation of the beloved PS2 game after an 18-year gap. It’s evident that he is keen to ensure fans don’t get spoiled about this anticipated addition to its storyline.

In Kamiya’s words, “The leaker, who acts selfishly, is motivated by personal pleasure and self-gratification. He doesn’t help anyone, instead causing potential missed opportunities and bringing nothing noteworthy to show for it to others.

He’s the most vile individual imaginable. I suggest we cover him from head to foot in filth, launch him into space, and let him drift aimlessly without a thought.

A leaker, who holds a position of responsibility and has access to limited, exclusive information, is not acting rationally but rather exposing their shameful craving for approval, even though it’s dirty. Instead of blaming the maker whose secrets were exposed, we should be ashamed of this leak, and it needs to stop as soon as possible…

On multiple occasions, Kamiya has expressed strong opinions about topic X. Notably, he’s well-known for this behavior, as he doesn’t tolerate what he considers to be “dumb questions” or fans who persistently ask him questions about his games in English.

In December 2024, when a fan questioned whether Clovers employed AI to produce the teaser for Okami’s Sequel, Kamiya responded with a dismissive tone, “Please refrain from asking trivial queries like that, fool.
