It’s been confirmed that the forthcoming Netflix series “The Four Seasons” has secured Julia Lester as a cast member, according to exclusive information obtained by EbMaster.
Lester is set to make a repeated appearance alongside leading actors Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Colman Domingo, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Erika Henningsen, Marco Calvani, and Will Forte in the series. The show was initially commissioned for eight episodes back in January 2024 and wrapped up filming in New York City in November. It is inspired by the 1981 movie with the same name, which Alan Alda directed and starred in.
In the movie, three married sets of couples go on vacations together every season, but their routine is disrupted when one husband leaves his wife and starts bringing a younger woman along. The character Lester will be portrayed as Lila, who is Anne’s (Kenney-Silver) and Nick’s (Carell) daughter.

Lester has gained significant recognition for portraying Ashlyn in Disney+’s “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” throughout its four seasons. In addition to this, she has made appearances on other screens, such as the comedy movie “Prom Dates,” which aired on Hulu. Apart from her screen roles, Lester is also an accomplished stage actress who received a Tony Award nomination for her work in the 2022 production of “Into the Woods.” It was recently disclosed that she will be featured in the Off-Broadway play “All Nighter,” which is being produced by Ben Platt and Rachel Sussman.
She is repped by Paradigm, Perennial Entertainment, and Ziffren Brittenham.
Apart from acting as a main character, Fey was also instrumental in creating this series, collaborating with Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield. They all had previously worked together on the well-known NBC sitcom “30 Rock.” Similarly, they all serve as executive producers alongside David Miner, Eric Gurian, and Jeff Richmond. Alda and Marissa Bregman, who are connected due to their father’s role in producing the film, will also contribute to the production of this series. Universal Television, where Fey’s Little Stranger, Inc. production company is based under an overall deal, will be responsible for its production.
