2018’s highly praised action film “Upgrade,” directed by Leigh Whannell, has left many fans eagerly waiting. Despite no official calls for a sequel, Whannell himself continues to entertain thoughts of “Upgrade 2.”
Leigh Whannell honed his skills in the realm of horror, penning movies like Saw and Insidious, and directing films such as The Invisible Man and the modern adaptation of the legendary creature known as Wolf Man, set to premiere this week.
Between my binge-watching of spine-tingling flicks, I penned and orchestrated the masterful blend of action and sci-fi known as Upgrade. This film saw Logan Marshall-Green portray a mechanic who suffered an accident, only to awaken with a device inside him that governs his motor functions.
The movie garnered positive responses, boasting a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 88%. Despite the excellent reviews and a climax hinting at further tales, no sequel has been produced as of now.
