Cult-Favorite Capcom Fighter Rival Schools Getting An Official Works Artbook Soon

In terms of Rival Schools, fans have some exciting updates coming up this year. Not only is the sequel to the original game, Project Justice, included in the upcoming Capcom Fighting Collection 2, but there’s also a new art book titled “Rival Schools: Complete Works” being released for the cult-classic fighting game series. This hardcover book will delve into the visuals and development history of the tag-team fighter when it hits shelves on April 29, 2025. Preorders are currently available at Amazon, with a special discounted price of $40 (originally $50).

Back in ’97, I was hooked on the first installment of Rival Schools: United By Fate – a game that pitted tag team battles between groups of students from diverse schools against each other. Since then, there have been two sequels, the Japan-only Justice Private Academy: Fighting Spirit Diary 2 in ’99 and Project Justice in ’00. However, the series has mostly laid low since then, with only occasional appearances of Rival Schools characters in other Capcom fighting games. But this year, we’ve got something to look forward to – a Complete Works artbook and the inclusion of Project Justice in Capcom Fighting Collection 2! It’s like a dream come true for long-time fans like me!

As we were discussing, you can now pre-order the physical versions of Capcom Fighting Collection 2 for both PS4 and Nintendo Switch on Amazon. A special bonus comes with these preorders – a limited-edition Capcom vs. SNK comic! This collection comprises eight games such as Project Justice, Capcom vs. SNK 1 and 2, Power Stone 1 and 2, among others.

Hey fellow gamer! If you’re craving more in-depth insights into your favorite Capcom games, I’ve got some exciting news for you.
