Landman fans think Monty could have survived and expose “biggest pothole”

In Landman Episode 10, we tragically lost one of our finest team members, Monty Miller. Though some have found a way to continue after his passing, there are others who firmly believe that with a touch of reasoning, Monty’s life could have been spared.

It was widely anticipated that Monty would pass away among his dedicated fans, given his extensive health history. Throughout his lifetime, he had suffered five heart attacks and undergone three bypass surgeries. Furthermore, during the recent season, there were several instances where he appeared to clutch his chest and looked short of breath, which only served to reinforce the inevitable outcome.

In Episode 10 of Landman, the weight of stress and strain seemed to be closing in on Monty. Regardless of the doctors’ promise of a potential heart transplant, the final scene of that episode depicted Cami and his daughters weeping by his hospital bed, following his unfortunate demise.

Moving forward, this development is significant for Tommy and M-Tex Oil, yet there’s a strong sentiment among viewers that the situation didn’t necessitate such an outcome. In essence, they argue that had Monty maintained his role, he might have been able to prevent everything.

Monty’s heart attack in Landman could have been avoided

It’s clear that Monty is a highly affluent oil magnate, as indicated by his lavish estate and the exclusive medical facility where he seems to reside during the latter episodes. However, an intriguing query arises: how could such a prominent individual meet his demise without adequate care or intervention?

1. Apart from the fact that Monty had his final heart attack when left alone in his hospital room, there’s a debate going on that suggests he might have been able to pay for faster medical care.

2. Beyond the tragedy of Monty having his last heart attack while abandoned in the hospital, people are disputing whether he could have purchased swifter healthcare services.

A Reddit user pointed out an apparent plot inconsistency: Monty, given his history of four heart attacks and three bypass surgeries, seems to be a multi-billionaire who should have already obtained a new heart or be on a waiting list for one. This detail is puzzling me, amusingly enough.

Another person concurred, stating that he certainly wouldn’t have been alone in the hospital room, not for a moment. A team of at least a dozen individuals would have been there, including someone specifically to tend to his nose and hygiene needs.”

“The second opinion was that he wouldn’t have been left alone in the hospital room for a single instant. There would have been more than a dozen people present, with one person dedicated solely to taking care of his nose and personal hygiene.

As a gamer, I’d put it this way: “Heck, if my character was that sick, he wouldn’t be holed up in some random hospital in Fort Worth. No way, he’d be at the Cleveland Clinic or Mayo Clinic, with a round-the-clock team of top-notch doctors taking care of him.

It’s quite possible that Taylor Sheridan intentionally chose to have Monty die in the show, using it as an opportunity to increase the roles of Tommy and Cami if a second season is made. Yet, some viewers may still find this explanation insufficient.

The most unbelievable aspect of this consistently strange series, according to one viewer, is the suggestion that he could be having a heart attack and pressing the call button, yet someone found him on the floor. It’s hard to imagine such a high-profile individual being left alone without constant supervision from an intern.
