Beast Games knocked off Prime Video’s top spot by surprise crime drama

The popular Prime Video series by MrBeast, “Beast Games,” has been dethroned from its number one position due to a recently released crime drama.

As a passionate gamer myself, I’ve been pouring my heart and resources into inviting my followers to check out Prime Video. My epic Beast Games series, without a doubt, is the most grandiose project I’ve undertaken yet – it didn’t come cheap!

By utilizing his massive following effectively, the debut of the show on Amazon Prime Video has been quite successful, holding the top spot among the most-watched TV series on their platform. However, that position has now been challenged.

In the U.S., a fresh crime series titled “On Call” has overtaken Beast Games at the peak of the rankings. Previously, Beast Games held the number one position, but it has now moved down to second place.

MrBeast’s show knocked down a peg by new crime drama

Debuting on January 9, 2025, the new police-centric drama series “On Call” was made available for streaming in its entirety on Prime Video. Comprising of eight succinct half-hour episodes, it has quickly gained immense popularity among binge-watchers on this platform.

Indeed, On Call has ascended to the top spot on the platform, outranking Beast Games. This captivating series centers around a seasoned police officer and her new partner as they attend to incidents throughout Long Beach, California.

Although the new show has a rating of 50% on Rotten Tomatoes, it hasn’t deterred thousands of homes from watching it all the way through to the end of the season. Surprisingly, On Call, which lacks big-name stars and hasn’t received much promotion, has become a hit on Prime Video.

Or simply:

Despite receiving just a 50% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, thousands of households have finished watching the entire season of On Call, a show that doesn’t boast any big-name stars and hasn’t been heavily marketed for Prime Video.

Clearly, since Beast Games’ episodes come out on a weekly basis, enthusiasts can’t just binge-watch them all at once.

Due to the consistent weekly releases, it’s likely that MrBeast’s series will regain its high position in the rankings quite soon, with the final episode set for February 13.
