In the movie “Better Man,” Robbie Williams portrays a character resembling a monkey. However, in reality, he is a man of faith – an ordained minister. Over the weekend, Robbie Williams officiated a wedding at a New York screening of “Better Man.” During the Q&A session in NYC, Robbie was open and responsive to the audience’s energy. He even had a private conversation with his daughter, and a member from the audience asked him, as an ordained minister, to officiate their wedding. This request was granted, leaving everyone amazed by the event. (Tweet by Ezra Cubero)
Although Williams has been ordained by Universal Ministries, this wedding might not be recognized for matters such as taxes. Since no marriage license was issued, it’s not considered a legal union. However, it serves as a heartfelt declaration. He mentioned during the ceremony, “By the power bestowed upon me by no one in particular — it may not be legally-binding, but it’s binding in your hearts and my heart.” Before they said their I Do’s, he added this. Later, Williams announced the couple as husband and wife while holding a large slushie from concessions. The movie Better Man opened in U.S. cinemas this weekend, but you won’t find any weddings taking place during screenings of Den of Thieves 2, would you?
