Actor Mel Gibson, known for his role in Mad Max, received distressing news upon his return to Los Angeles following a seemingly routine podcast interview with Joe Rogan.

A massive wildfire outbreak in Los Angeles has forced many residents to flee, damaged or destroyed numerous homes and structures, caused event cancellations, and brought the city to a standstill, even halting popular TV show productions and postponing much-anticipated premieres.

After wrapping up my chat on The Joe Rogan Experience, I came back home to discover the heart-wrenching aftermath of a catastrophic natural event. My beloved California residence, where I’ve spent years living and creating, was hit hard by the disaster.

Mel Gibson returns to LA to a burned down home

During an appearance on NewsNation, Gibson shared that he was in Austin, Texas for the Joe Rogan Experience when he learned about the fire. This troubling news left him feeling uneasy throughout the taping.

Gibson described it as a deeply emotional experience to lose his Malibu house, which he’s owned for fifteen years. He had many personal belongings there, and now that they’re gone, he feels liberated since everything is reduced to ashes.

There’s no word as to what film props or memorabilia might have been lost in the flames.

As flames erupted nearby, I couldn’t help but think, “I hope my sanctuary is safe.” Upon returning home, unfortunately, I found that my special space was no longer there.

Based on the interview, it appears that he’s uncertain whether he will reconstruct his house due to the extensive damage it sustained. He further mentioned that the area was totally charred and he had never witnessed such comprehensive burning before.

Among the many celebrities I admire, some of whom include Billy Crystal, Cary Elwes, Paris Hilton, and Milo Ventimiglia, have sadly suffered damage or even loss of their homes due to these devastating fires. Even social media influencers and YouTube stars have felt the destructive impact of this disaster.
