Director Andy Muschietti of The Brave and the Bold has addressed recent talks about the delayed DC Batman films, clarifying that there’s a valid explanation behind it, contrary to certain fan assumptions.

In a recent chat, Andy Muschietti clarified the online speculation about casting choices as well as the reasons behind the postponement of both movies, which contradicts some assumptions made by certain fans.
The Batman sequel delayed for more than one reason

Regarding the same theory surrounding The Batman, director Matt Reeves mentioned that it essentially boils down to if it fits logically. He further added, “To be honest, we’ll just have to wait and see where that leads us.
Muschietti clearly turned down any involvement, signaling a definite decision has been made. He further disclosed that DC and Warner Bros. are actively working on the second installment of Reeves’ Batman series, which, as previously speculated, is slated to hit theaters around 2027.
What’s causing these hold-ups, you ask? As per Muschietti, Gunn, and Safran, they aim for both movies to reach their respective audiences.
It wouldn’t make sense for DC to release two Batman movies at the same time, as this could lead to confusion and competition between the films. Instead, they are devising a plan to schedule the releases so that the movies don’t clash with each other.
