Shroud postpones Fragathon stream on Twitch as wildfires rage in Los Angeles

It was announced that the upcoming Fragathon live stream has been temporarily delayed, as a result of the destructive wildfires currently raging in Los Angeles.

On the 4th of January, Shroud embarked on a fundraising journey lasting a month on Twitch, in memory of his late father who succumbed to cancer the previous year. This charitable endeavor is aimed at honoring his dad.

During the live stream, the fact that Shroud was once a professional CS and Valorant player is highlighted, since each kill achieved on the stream across all games earns him a dollar, and contributions from subscribers and donators can boost this earning rate.

During the conclusion of the Fragathon live broadcast, all earnings will be completely donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, making for a substantial contribution due to Shroud’s expertise and large fanbase. Not only will Shroud himself be participating in the stream, but he has also established a LAN center at his home and invited several friends to join him.

Unfortunately, the stream was cut short.

Shroud puts pause on Fragathon stream

Shroud has announced a temporary halt in the Fragathon broadcast. Due to a power outage and the ongoing storm, roads are closed and there are fires nearby. For everyone’s safety, including our production team and guests, we must prioritize safety over entertainment. We apologize for any inconvenience and will resume as soon as it is safe to do so.

As a passionate viewer, I want to share some exciting news: Though the streamer hasn’t given an exact timeframe for the hiatus, they’ve promised us that our favorite stream will be back on air as quickly as possible. Can’t wait!

Fans understood the decision and gave him their best wishes.

Among Shroud’s closest friends and fellow streamers, Just9n replied, “It’s unfortunate, but safety always comes first, followed by teamwork.

“Take your time. We all will be here when you’re back,” a fan replied.

This morning, Shroud verified that the stream had amassed $100,000 within just four days. Given this rate, it’s a certainty that the Twitch subathon is making impressive strides towards an extraordinary accomplishment as long as the stream remains active.
