James Woods Breaks Down in Tears on CNN After Losing Home in L.A. Fire: ‘One Day You’re Swimming in the Pool and the Next Day It’s All Gone’

It was sadly confirmed that James Woods‘ residence located in Pacific Palisades was destroyed by the ongoing fires ravaging certain areas of Los Angeles.

On CNN, the 77-year-old actor who starred in “Vampires” and “Once Upon a Time in America,” choked up while talking about the distressing circumstances in his local community.

One moment you’re enjoying a swim in the pool, but the very next moment, it’s no longer there, stated Woods during his interview with CNN’s Pamela Brown.

He remembered a touching instance where Sara Miller-Woods’ eight-year-old niece brought out her savings from her piggy bank to aid them in the process of rebuilding their home.

Woods narrated his evacuation story, detailing how he aided his 94-year-old neighbor with dementia to reach safety. ‘He had been forgotten,’ Woods stated, ‘amidst the turmoil, it felt like a blaze was raging everywhere. Houses around us were burning.’

In reference to the destruction, Woods remarked, “I believed I would be more resilient,” as he gently brushed away tears.

Brown replied, “True strength isn’t determined by holding back tears; it’s demonstrated through actions like assisting your neighbors and highlighting the heroic efforts of the firefighters and emergency teams currently working.

On a Tuesday, Woods shared updates about the fire ravaging the Palisades on platform X, by posting pictures and videos of his locality ablaze with flames.

He penned down that there’s nothing more valuable than friends and good neighbors in difficult times. He couldn’t fathom the abundance of blessings we have, and he expressed his heartfelt gratitude with humility.

With more fires erupting throughout Southern California, causing tens of thousands of people to leave their homes, Hollywood has decided to call off numerous premieres and events. Shows like “Hacks” and “Suits L.A.” have temporarily stopped filming. The Critics Choice Awards, initially scheduled for Santa Monica on Sunday, have been pushed back, with a new date yet to be announced.
