“Dexter: Resurrection” is bringing three franchise veterans into the fold.
David Zayas, James Remar, and Jack Alcott are set to take on series regular positions in the upcoming joint production between Paramount+ and Showtime’s drama series. These actors join Michael C. Hall, who will once again portray Dexter Morgan.
In the upcoming season, Zayas is set to reprise his role as Det. Angel Batista, and Remar will take on Harry Morgan once more – these are characters they played in the original “Dexter.” Alcott has been cast as Harrison Morgan, Dexter’s son, who debuted in the spin-off series “Dexter: New Blood” in 2021.
Filming for “Dexter: Resurrection” will commence in January, and it’s expected to air sometime during the summer months. As of now, no explicit details about the plot for “Resurrection” have been disclosed, but it’s clear that this series is intended as a continuation directly following “New Blood.
Apart from his performance in “Dexter,” Michael Remar is recognized for his appearances in television series such as “Sex and the City” and “City on a Hill.” He has also graced the big screen in movies like “Django Unchained,” “Oppenheimer,” “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” and “The Warriors.”
Beyond his role on “Dexter,” Michael Remar is renowned for his acting stints on shows like “Sex and the City” and “City on a Hill.” He has also featured in films such as “Django Unchained,” “Oppenheimer,” “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” and “The Warriors.”

Michael Remar is not just known for his character in “Dexter,” but he’s also famous for his work on TV shows like “Sex and the City” and “City on a Hill.” Additionally, he has acted in movies like “Django Unchained,” “Oppenheimer,” “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” and “The Warriors.
He is repped by Gersh.
As a passionate cinephile, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Carlos Gómez Vicente, better known as Zayas, shine on both the big and small screens. From gripping series like “Oz,” “Pose,” “Shut Eye,” and the latest sensation “The Bear,” to captivating films such as “The Interpreter” and “The Expendables.” The anticipation is high for his upcoming role in “The Running Man.” It’s a privilege to know that he’s represented by powerhouses like ATA Management, Buchwald, and Schreck Rose.
Alcott is recognized for his performances in “New Blood” and the Showtime series “The Good Lord Bird”. He also appears in other productions such as “The Black List” and “Poker Face.
He is repped by Gersh, Authentic Talent and Literary Management, Viewpoint, and Goodman Genow.
The new series, titled “Dexter: Original Sin,” is the most recent endeavor to expand the universe of “Dexter.” In addition to “New Blood,” this prequel was recently introduced by Paramount, featuring Patrick Gibson as the main character and with C.S. Lee providing narration via voiceover.
I’m thrilled to share that I find myself in the role of an admirer as Clyde Phillips takes on the mantle of showrunner and executive producer for “Dexter: Resurrection.” Joining him in these high-ranking roles are Hall, Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. Marcos Siega is set to produce and direct this exciting project. The studios behind the production are Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios, with Paramount Global Content Distribution handling distribution.
