The dog breeder situation has added another layer of mystery to the series. While Titus appears to be the mastermind, there seems to be a larger network at play. With an enforcer and a deceased driver involved, it’s clear that this operation is much more extensive than just two men and their dogs. Could they be members of some secretive white supremacist group or militia? Only time will tell.
I find myself skeptical about the connection between the evil mob boss Calligan and the events unfolding in the story, despite the revelation that Kat’s father was on his payroll. The fact that he had a mistress is unfortunate for his wife but opens up possibilities for new characters to emerge. Additionally, Kat’s luxurious apartment leaves me questioning whether she was truly aware of her father’s financial support or if those flashback shots were simply meant to depict her happiness at moving.
One character whose intentions remain unclear is Stagger. His off-hours meetings in a nightclub and his cover-up of the fingerprint investigation make me suspect that he’s involved in more than just Kat’s case. I believe he was on Calligan’s payroll, and his killing of Clint may have been motivated by greed or fear of exposure. The fact that things seem to have gone awry for Josh after visiting Monte with Stagger leads me to wonder if Josh stumbled upon something incriminating.
Lastly, the enigmatic figure following Kat around town adds another layer of mystery to the story. Could he be working for Calligan, Stagger, Titus, or even Josh? Perhaps he’s an Interpol agent attempting to bring her into their investigation. Whatever the case may be, I just hope that those adorable dogs will remain safe throughout this saga.

Initially, we might have assumed we understood the situation (Josh was killed by the bad guys, they’re catfishing now, etc.), but if Aqua saw Josh six months ago in the park, is it possible that Josh isn’t actually dead? Or could it be that Josh escaped from Kat and his old life to protect not only her but also his daughter?
After listening to Aqua’s tale at the beginning of the episode, it seemed clear that Josh had visited her recently, as they were once deeply connected. However, by the end of the episode, I find myself confused due to the disclosure that Aqua was responsible for assaulting Brendan and stealing his phone. It leaves me questioning how Aqua could recognize Brendan, given their lack of prior acquaintance. Is it possible that Aqua plays a part in this disturbing dog-human network? Or is Aqua attempting to shield Kat from herself in some way?
Being a longtime animal welfare advocate and having spent years working with various rescue organizations, I can’t help but feel deeply disturbed by this dog breeder situation that has come to light. As someone who has witnessed firsthand the cruelty inflicted on animals in similar situations, I fear that what we see with Titus and his accomplice may be just the tip of the iceberg.
Titus’s domineering demeanor and the existence of another enforcer, along with a deceased driver who brings people onto the property, suggest a more extensive operation than initially perceived. The amount of money they seem to be making from each person chained up in that barn is astronomical, leading me to wonder what other secrets they may be hiding.
Could they be part of some larger criminal ring? I can’t help but think back to cases I’ve worked on where animal exploitation was used as a cover for illegal activities such as human trafficking or money laundering. It wouldn’t surprise me if these individuals were connected to something more sinister, like white supremacist groups or militia organizations.
I eagerly await further developments in this case and hope that justice will be served for the countless animals suffering at their hands. The truth must come out, and those responsible must face the consequences of their actions.
I’m not entirely convinced that everything leads back to mob boss Calligan, despite the latest episode’s disclosure that Kat’s seemingly peaceful father was on their payroll. The existence of a mistress is heartbreaking for Kat’s mother, but it also suggests we might encounter another character in the future. Moreover, Kat’s apartment seems too luxurious not to question its origins, though we hadn’t known if her father had funded it entirely. (The flashback scenes could just as well have depicted Kat’s joy over her dad helping her move.)
Based on the evidence at hand, it’s highly unlikely that Stagger is entirely truthful about everything. It seems he’s hiding the fingerprint investigation, deceiving Nia and Charlie regarding Kat’s situation, and his secret meetings during off-hours in a nightclub are suspicious for a middle-aged cop. I suspect Stagger has been and continues to be on Calligan’s payroll, possibly killing Clint out of greed or fear that his friend would expose him. This might explain why things have taken a turn for the worse for Josh after he visited Monte in prison with Stagger. It could be that Monte revealed too much, or perhaps Josh sensed something fishy about the situation. Furthermore, Stagger’s decision to remove Charlie and Pia from the Rishi case raises questions about his involvement in the dog ring. Just how far does this tangled web extend?
Regarding the questionable characters on the show: Could you enlighten me about Brendan’s uncle Artie? His naivety about his sister leaving town without a trace, moving to another country with an unknown man, buying a house, and abandoning her son is inexplicably high. It seems as though Dana Fells convinced her exceptionally well over the phone. At its worst, he might be involved somehow, although I suspect it’s just him being overly trusting. The show has a tendency to belittle Kat and indirectly Brendan, which can be quite annoying for the viewers at home. However, fortunately, Kat seems capable of navigating around the system effectively. It’s infuriating, but it appears to serve a purpose in the storyline. Yet, thankfully, Kat manages to function independently outside the system.
As a seasoned viewer of numerous crime dramas, I must say that the plot twist in this particular series has me intrigued. The mysterious figure trailing Kat around town is definitely adding an element of suspense and uncertainty to the storyline. From my years spent watching shows like Law & Order, I’ve learned to expect the unexpected when it comes to these types of characters.
Could he be working for one of the main characters – Calligan, Stagger, Titus or Josh? Or perhaps he’s a clever decoy sent by someone we haven’t even met yet. It’s also possible that he’s an undercover Interpol agent looking to involve Kat in their ongoing investigation.
The ambiguity surrounding the character and the potential directions the show could take has me on the edge of my seat, eagerly awaiting each new episode to unfold. All I can hope for is a happy ending for our beloved dogs. Fingers crossed they’ll all be safe and sound in the end!

Based on my years of observing human relationships and the complexities they often entail, I can’t help but wonder if Clint’s sudden departure might be connected to a surprising family secret. You see, I’ve encountered similar situations before where a man had a love child with his mistress, only to find out that this child is somehow linked to someone else in their life – like Josh, for instance.
