Pokemon TCG Pocket fans want one iconic card to get full art treatment

As a seasoned Pokemon Trainer with over two decades of collecting and battling under my belt, I wholeheartedly concur with the clamor for a full art variant of Professor’s Research in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

I remember the days when I would scour the local card shops for that elusive Charizard holo, or painstakingly trade away my hard-earned cards to complete my binder. Now, with Pokemon TCG Pocket, the thrill of the chase has never been more accessible – but something’s still missing.

Professor’s Research is not just a card; it’s the lifeline that keeps me in the game when I’m up against the ropes. Its ability to draw two cards can turn the tide of battle faster than a Mewtwo using Psychic! It has become an integral part of my deck, and I’d love to showcase it with a stunning full art variant.

I’ve heard whispers that the developers might be listening to our pleas for this card to join the ranks of the full art supporters. If they don’t, well, let’s just say I’ll have to resort to some underhanded tactics – like borrowing my niece’s account and spamming their customer support email with requests!

On a lighter note, if the developers really want to impress us, how about releasing a full art Professor’s Research with a special animation that shows Professor Oak himself drawing two cards for me? Now that would be a sight worth seeing!

Fans of the Pokémon Trading Card Game believe that there might be a slight omission regarding the popular full art versions in the Pocket edition.

Since its launch in October 2024, the Pokemon TCG Pocket game has captivated players, swiftly surpassing the daily income of Pokemon GO and amassing more than 30 million downloads within just a few days.

The battle style of Pokemon Trading Card Game (PTCGO) has gained such widespread popularity that enthusiasts are adapting it for face-to-face duels on physical game tables. Essentially, what attracts many players to PTCGO is the thrill of acquiring its scarcest cards.

Among the thrilling discoveries when opening a booster pack, people particularly look forward to the full art versions, as they include both Pokémon and Trainer cards. While there are many of these already to gather, players believe that one underappreciated Supporter card is worthy of receiving the full art makeover in an upcoming set.

Give me full art Professor’s Research or give me death

The card under discussion, “Professor’s Research,” doesn’t have a completed artwork version yet in the Pokemon TCG Pocket game. This might be because this specific card isn’t distributed through booster packs; instead, you can obtain it by purchasing it from the game’s shop using the in-game currency.

Regardless, players are advocating for the inclusion of Professor’s Research within the collection of full art supporter cards, as they consider it to be “the top card in the game.” In a Reddit discussion asking for this variation, one user declared, “No card is more deserving.” They refer to Professor’s Research as the “Greatest of All Time” (GOAT).

From my perspective, it’s tough to dispute its significance since this card is a staple in every top-tier deck within the game. The capacity it possesses to draw two cards is nothing short of transformative, and it’s something I wouldn’t want to ignore if I were you.

We’re really excited about having a complete artistic version of Professor’s Research card to show off against our Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket competitors. However, the method for releasing this card since it’s not found in booster packs is something we’ll need to figure out later on.
