Overwatch 2 December 16 update nerfs Hazard just one week after launch

As a die-hard Overwatch fan with over a decade of gaming under my kilt, I must say that this latest development has left me feeling like I’ve just been slapped by a Highlander’s sword. Just seven days into Season 14 and we’re already seeing changes to our beloved newcomers, Hazard and Sojourn.

In simple terms, the update for Overwatch 2 on December 16th has reduced the power of the recently introduced tank character, Hazard, only seven days following his initial release. Additionally, Sojourn was affected by some adjustments as well, which are detailed in the complete patch notes.

A mere week after the debut of Season 14 and the introduction of character Hazard, Blizzard has swiftly implemented some fresh modifications.

In its initial stages, the Scottish Tank has been causing chaos due to its potent equipment, and the excitement surrounding it being the 42nd hero in the game, making players eager to become acquainted with this new character.

Despite only seven days into Elysium, Hazard’s ultimate ability has received an early adjustment. Now, players will need a bit more time to accumulate the ultimate, so the rate of destruction may not be as rapid in each game.

Besides a solitary modification made to Hazard, Sojourn has experienced several significant alterations as well (which are detailed below). These adjustments aim to weaken the power of the Damage character, limiting her impact on the battlefield.
