As a seasoned Warframe player with years of experience under my belt, I must say that this list of voice actors for the 1999 expansion is nothing short of impressive! From Nick Apostolides’ Leon Kennedy-esque charm as Zeke to Elsie Lovelock’s commanding presence as Major Rusalka, each actor brings their unique talents to the table.
A significant part of what makes Warframe exceptional lies in its compelling storyline, skillfully narrated by a large ensemble of talented voice actors. Just like previous updates, the 1999 update doesn’t fall short, so we’ve put together a comprehensive guide on who you will encounter as you progress through the game.
In a significant shift from its usual format, Warframe: 1999 represents a leap for the well-known MMO, transporting players to an era thousands of years ago. While earlier updates have delved into time travel, this is the first instance where the narrative focuses entirely on the past.
In this regard, new characters, previously unseen in the game, are being introduced to players. To bring these fresh characters’ dialogues to life, both protagonists and antagonists, well-known voices from the global voice acting community have been enlisted for the task.
All Warframe: 1999 voice actors: Complete cast
Ben Starr – Arthur (Excalibur)
In the heart of The Hex, a band of six Protoframes on a mission to find a remedy for the Technocyte virus, I, Arthur, take center stage in this thrilling tale. Though recognized widely as Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy XVI, my roles extend beyond that, encompassing characters in Quantum Break and Arknights. The future holds my appearance in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, set to unfold in the year 2025.
Alpha Takahashi – Aoi (Mag)
Aoi assumes the role of logistics coordinator within The Hex, a character who instantly captivates with her wit, frequently providing comic relief. Actress Alpha Takahashi portrays her, having previously appeared as Hanako Arasaka in Cyberpunk 2077 and assuming the role of Psylocke in Marvel Rivals.
Melissa Medina – Lettie (Trinity)
Lettie serves as the group’s healer and vendor of valuable goods to the player once they earn enough reputation with the Syndicate. This character is portrayed by Melissa Medina, a versatile actress who has graced numerous notable productions such as Starfield, Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, Star Wars: The Old Republic – Legacy of the Sith, and more.
Kevin Afghani – Amir (Volt)
Amir serves as our go-to tech and electronics guru, offering plans for the newly introduced Warframe, specifically Cyte-09, following the latest update. It’s worth noting that Amir’s voice is provided by Kevin Afghani, who has been confirmed to succeed Charles Martinet as the main voice actor. Interestingly, Kevin also lends his talent to other characters such as Waluigi, Luigi, and Wario.
Amelia Tyler – Eleanor (Nix)
I’m thrilled to be a fan of Eleanor Nightingale, the beloved sister of The Hex’s charismatic leader Arthur. Her significant role in the captivating narrative makes her a character I can’t help but root for. Not only that, but she’s also one of the game’s intriguing new romance options! It’s fascinating to know that the talented Amelia Tyler lends her voice to Eleanor Nightingale. She is renowned for her spellbinding narration in Baldur’s Gate 3 and has graced other critically acclaimed games like Divinity: Original Sin II and Hades II with her exceptional talent.
Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge – Quincy (Cyte-09)
Quincy is unique among The Hex, as he doesn’t derive his powers from pre-existing Warframes. Instead, he wields the Cyte-09 ‘frame, introduced alongside the update. In the gaming world, you might recognize him as one of the character options in Forza Horizon 5.
Kevin Lim – TV Announcer
In the 1999 refresh, I find myself playing a less prominent yet indispensable role. This character is skillfully voiced by none other than Kevin Lim, who has graced our screens before as Bombastine within The Duviri Paradox in Warframe.
Elsie Lovelock – Major Rusalka
In the year 1999, Commander Rusalka, known for her ruthless nature, leads the Scaldra military forces. She plays a crucial role in the storyline. Actress Elsie Lovelock, who has lent her voice to games like Remothered: Broken Porcelain and Wargroove in the past, provides her voice for this character.
Nick Apostolides – Zeke
Zeke is a member of the boyband On-Lyne who take center stage in Warframe: 1999. He is played by Nick Apostolides, who many people will know from the Resident Evil 2 remake, where he played protagonist Leon Kennedy. He also appeared in Life is Strange 2 and The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit.
Emma Martello – Cephalon Cy
In the game, Cephalon Cy assumes the role of the navigator for your Railjack, a distinctive vessel you acquire during the Rising Tide mission. Throughout the narrative, this ship plays a significant part and the voice you’ll hear belongs to Emma Martello, who returns to her character from its initial portrayal.
James Conlin – Ollie
As a dedicated gamer, I find myself at the heart of the action in Ollie’s Crash Course, an immersive in-game arcade adventure. In this thrilling narrative, I interact with Arthur, and none other than James Conlin brings Ollie to life, marking his impressive voice acting debut in Warframe through the Make-A-Wish program.
