Players of Battlefield 6 are reporting that people using the Cronus Zen device to cheat with aim assist are getting banned, and the companies selling this cheat device are reacting quickly to the news.
With more games now letting players use either keyboards and mice or controllers, the potential for cheating has also grown. Some cheating methods are clear – like becoming invincible or seeing through walls – while others are more subtle.
There’s been a lot of discussion about devices like the Cronus Zen. It’s a USB adapter that lets players use scripts on their PC or console to modify gameplay. These scripts can enhance aim assistance or even make characters move faster.
Call of Duty recently started detecting and banning players who use devices like Cronus and XIM to gain an unfair advantage, integrating this detection into their Ricochet anti-cheat system. Now, it appears Battlefield 6 is doing the same.
Battlefield 6 apparently clamping down on Cronus Zen
On October 13th, Battlefield 6 players noticed a message seemingly from EA circulating on social media that appeared to announce bans.
We can’t confirm if the message is real because it has some odd differences compared to typical ban notifications – for example, it includes an ‘H’ button to accept, which is unusual. Some fans have even pointed out that it appears to be altered or a forgery.
Despite this, some people are still happy about the recent actions against cheaters. One person commented, “It’s a clear message to those who need to cheat – they shouldn’t.”
Battlefield 6 is now banning Cronus Zen users with this message.

Cronus script providers urge “pause” over apparent bans
Script providers have responded to the situation, advising Cronus users to temporarily stop using their services until everything is confirmed.
One user posted in a Discord server asking players not to use a feature called ‘Zen’ in Battlefield 6 until developers confirm it’s working correctly.

Several players reported being temporarily banned from the game for three days after using a device called Cronus. One player shared, “I was suspended for three days while playing Battlefield 6, likely because I was using Cronus. Everything seemed to be working normally the day before.”
Breaking news: Anti-cheat software in Battlefield is now detecting and banning players using Cronus Zen, a device that offers unfair advantages. However, Cronus Zen continues to evade detection in Call of Duty, even in the Black Ops 7 beta. A key developer, known as BlueWaffle, is aware of the situation.

One fan reported that the anti-cheat system in Battlefield 6 is functioning correctly, and another expressed great relief and satisfaction upon hearing the news.
It’s still unclear whether the recent reports of a ban are true, and if they are, how many people will be impacted.
