Aziz Ansari, Kevin Hart, and Leslie Jones are some of the comedians slated to lead Rhode Island’s first-ever Lil Rhody Laugh Riot, a four-day comedy event happening from March 27th to the 30th.
The Providence festival is set to host Chris Distefano, Hannah Berner, Michael Blaustein, and additional artists yet to be revealed as headliners. The initial lineup also includes Josh Johnson, Melissa Villasenor, Tone Bell, Sophie Buddle, Alec Flynn, and Andy Woodhull.
The Lil Rhody Laugh Riot is set up at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium, more popularly known as the VETS. However, the laughter won’t be confined to just this location. It will spread to other performance venues scattered throughout the city, such as the Providence Performing Arts Center and RI Comedy Connection.
On Thursday, March 27th, Hart is scheduled to perform at the Providence Performing Arts Center at 7:30 PM. Meanwhile, Ansari will appear at the same venue on Saturday at 7 PM. Lastly, Jones will perform at the VETS on that same day, Saturday, at 4 PM.
Daniel Schwartz, general manager of the VETS, stated that this event goes beyond simply comedy; it’s about crafting an environment where individuals from various backgrounds can unite and revel in the common delight of laughter. Our roster encompasses comedic legends like Kevin Hart alongside budding talents such as Chris Distefano, catering to diverse tastes. Rhode Island’s appeal for charm and ingenuity will undoubtedly be highlighted through this festival in a truly exceptional manner.
