Battlefield 6 instant-death bug is driving players insane

A problem that surfaced during the Battlefield 6 beta test is still happening in the released game, causing players to die unexpectedly and instantly, even when they aren’t being directly hit.

During the recent Open Beta, many players discussed problems with how the game connected players and kept things synchronized. This caused a frustrating issue where what one player saw happening didn’t quite match what another player saw. For instance, you might be targeted by an enemy before you’ve even rounded a corner and seen them.

This issue impacts how accurately your shots connect, causing shots that look like they hit to sometimes miss. You might also experience situations where you seem to be hitting an enemy repeatedly without dealing damage, while they defeat you very quickly.

The initial update fixed some issues, but players are still experiencing problems with the game in many matches even after the official release.

Netcode issues are ruining Battlefield 6 matches

A Reddit user named ‘ShaunImSorry’ posted a video demonstrating a glitch where the time-to-kill (TTK) in the game was extremely fast. This made it impossible to react before being eliminated and sent back into the game.

Honestly, I started to think *I* was just bad when this problem popped up, but thankfully a bunch of other players chimed in and said they were having the same thing happen. Turns out it’s not me, it’s the netcode!

I know I’m not the best player, but wow is this this TTK unforgiving not sure if its my connection lag or something but wondering if others are also experiencing this.

One player reported experiencing the same desynchronization issue that was present in the game’s beta version. They explained that it takes a long time to eliminate opponents, yet they can be hit with a full magazine of bullets almost instantly. Despite the developers claiming to have fixed this in the initial patch, the problem continues to happen frequently.

Another player explained the issue is with the game’s network code, saying opponents seem to react and shoot at them before they even appear on screen.

A third player said the game is currently struggling with issues where shots don’t seem to connect properly, often resulting in players dying even when they appear to be safe around corners. They described a frustrating situation where either all their shots hit at the same time, or don’t register with the game server at all, calling it a complete mess.

Okay, so there’s this big issue with Battlefield 6 right now that’s really bugging a lot of us. DICE hasn’t officially said anything about it *yet*, but I’m guessing they’re working on a fix for a future update. Until then, I’ve been looking around for the best PC and console settings to try and get the game running as smoothly as possible, and I’d recommend checking those out!
