The Grow A Garden Night Staff is a tool that helps you get specific traits in your plants. It has a limited number of uses, and once those are up, you’ll need to get another one to keep changing the weather for your crops. While players with plenty of money won’t have a problem with this, it could be costly for those who rely on these tools the most.
While these tools let you control one aspect of plant growth, the individual bonuses aren’t significant. The real benefit comes from combining multiple plant mutations to dramatically increase your crop’s value – potentially into the millions or even billions of Sheckles. If you’re aiming for maximum profits, here’s how to acquire the Night Staff and other weather-controlling tools for Grow A Garden.
Where to get the Grow A Garden Night Staff
You can find tools to influence the weather from two different merchants, but only the Sky Merchant sells the Grow A Garden Night Staff. He doesn’t appear all the time – you’ll need to wait for a random merchant to spawn every 30 minutes and hope it’s him. He’s guaranteed to show up within 4 hours, eventually landing his balloon in your garden. When he does, he usually has at least one Night Staff available. If you can also get a Star Caller, it gives your plants a huge boost – 120 times their normal value! That’s much better than the Moonlit Fruit, which only doubles the value. However, the Night Staff can also give your fruit the Bloodlit mutation when it’s Blood Moon weather.
For the remaining items, you can create them yourself by getting the necessary materials from the Grow A Garden Gear Shop and using the Crafting Bench. We suggest making these early, as crafting them is more affordable than purchasing a Night Staff, and they significantly increase the value of your plants – the Tanning Mirror boosts value by 85 times, and the Lightning Rod by 100 times.
Gear | Effect | Cost |
---|---|---|
Night Staff | Guarantees the Moonlit mutation of 6 random plants in the user’s garden within its radius. | 12,000,000 Sheckles or 199 Robux at the Sky Merchant. |
Star Caller | Redirects shooting stars 3 times to land in its close vicinity, granting plants it hits the Celestial mutation. | 15,000,000 Sheckles or 219 Robux at the Sky Merchant. |
Lightning Rod | Redirects lightning 3 times during a Thunderstorm from its vicinity to a plant within its radius in your garden, granting plants it hits the Shocked mutation. | Craft at the Gear Crafting Table with a Basic Sprinkler, an Advanced Sprinkler, a Godly Sprinkler, and 500,000 Sheckles. |
Tanning Mirror | Attracts Sun Rays to 10 crops during the Heat Wave weather to affect them with the Sundried mutation. | Craft at the Gear Crafting Table with a Basic Sprinkler, an Advanced Sprinkler, a Godly Sprinkler, and 500,000 Sheckles. |
How to use Grow A Garden Night Staff
These items are simple to use: just equip them and put them in your garden. While holding one, you’ll see a circle showing which plants might be influenced by it or any weather-changing device you’re using. Then, tap or click on the garden spot where you want to place the tool and wait for the right weather to impact your crops.
You can place as many of these items in your garden as you like, but avoid using too many simultaneously. Having several active at once will simply delay how long it takes for your plants to be affected by the mutation you’re aiming for. However, feel free to use a variety of different items close together – this will allow your plants to be influenced by a wider range of weather effects.
