This week, Game Science is releasing a big update for Black Myth: Wukong. It will first be available on PlayStation 5 starting October 13th, and then will come to Xbox Series X|S and PC. Players should be aware that the update is a large download and may need to clear up storage space.
Game Science announced on the official Black Myth website that the upcoming PS5 patch requires 93.5GB of free storage space. Players can continue playing the current version of the game without problems for now, but may need to delete and reinstall it if they don’t have enough space for the update.
Hello everyone,
A new update for Black Myth: Wukong is coming soon! It includes the usual bug fixes and also improves how the game runs.
Because this update makes some significant changes under the hood, please be aware that any mods you’ve installed might cause issues.

PC players are also advised that the update will require some free space on their hard drives. Game Science also suggests removing any modifications (mods) to prevent problems during the update process.
This update mainly improves how the game runs and fixes various bugs. A previous update in September resolved some visual problems with the Xbox Series X version, which had been noticeably blurrier than the PC and PlayStation 5 versions. Tech experts at Digital Foundry noted the Xbox Series S version had even more performance issues. While Game Science initially stated technical difficulties didn’t delay the Xbox port, they’ve since admitted that bringing the game to Xbox consoles proved more challenging than anticipated.
Game Science recently revealed they’re working on a sequel to Black Myth: Wukong, called Zhong Kui, though they haven’t announced when it will be released. Here are the full details of the latest update for Black Myth: Wukong (version 1.0.20.21756).
