It’s still unclear if the TV show *Alien: Earth* will return for a second season. While the network hasn’t officially renewed it, they’re likely evaluating whether the show is financially viable. Fans are eagerly awaiting news, but for now, they’ll have to be patient. Sydney Chandler, who plays Wendy on the show, has shared that despite staying in touch with the show’s creator, she doesn’t have any information about what the future holds for her character.
At New York Comic Con, actress Chandler discussed the new TV series. In an interview with Screen Rant, she was honest about the chances of a second season, admitting she doesn’t have any inside information. She explained that she often asks the show’s creator, Hawley, about what’s next, but so far he hasn’t revealed anything. She has ‘no idea‘ what the future holds for her character, Wendy, the other ‘Lost Boys,’ or the creatures still roaming Earth.
I keep trying to get information from him, but he won’t reveal our next destination. It felt like Wendy had completely outsmarted Boy K – like he’s now trapped in her game. It was incredibly enjoyable playing a character who’s so much more confident and cool than myself – stepping into that role was a lot of fun. That moment was really impactful for her, but I’m not sure what happens next. Things are going wonderfully for her, but I can’t say the same for everyone else.
David W. Zucker, a producer on the show, attended New York Comic Con and discussed its potential future with Screen Rant. While he didn’t officially say if the show would get a second season, he’s hopeful an announcement will come within the next month.
I’m there to provide support, essentially following his lead. A lot of planning and preparation is happening right now, and we’re hoping to have some concrete updates within the next month.
‘Alien: Earth’ Was a Very Divisive Entry in the ‘Alien’ Franchise

FX
Right from the start, viewers had strong, differing opinions about *Alien: Earth*. While some found the characters unappealing, disliked changes to established *Alien* lore, or thought the show moved too slowly, others applauded creator Noah Hawley’s willingness to take risks and appreciated how the series tied into the world Ridley Scott built with the original 1979 film. Critics generally liked the show, giving it a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but audiences were less enthusiastic, with a score of 66%.
You can now watch Season 1 of *Alien: Earth* on Hulu. The eight-episode series tells the story of what happens when humans and genetically engineered beings encounter aliens after a spacecraft falls to Earth. The show is set in 2120, two years before the original *Alien* movie from 1979.
