Players of Battlefield 6 want significant improvements to the game, because a problem with the weapons is making it difficult to aim and hit targets, even in simple situations.
Battlefield 6 has had a remarkably successful launch for DICE and EA. It quickly surpassed Call of Duty in player numbers on Steam and experienced such high demand that players faced wait times exceeding 300,000 in server queues on its first day.
The game had a few launch problems the developers are working to fix, including limited crossplay leading to bot-filled console games and some players being unable to access the game at all.
Honestly, a lot of us are really frustrated with the weapon bloom right now. It seems way more obvious than it was in the beta, and it’s making gunfights super unpredictable and difficult. It’s like, you aim right at someone, but the bullets go all over the place!
BF6 players slam “awful” weapon bloom
Weapon bloom makes shooting less precise by adding a random element to each shot, so bullets don’t always go exactly where you aim. Many first-person shooter games include this feature, but it seems to have been increased in the final version of this game after players found the beta version too easy.
Reddit user Dnc601 shared a video demonstrating numerous missed shots and expressed frustration with a recent game update, calling it “extremely inconsistent” and saying it “makes the game so much worse.”

Many other players also reacted, sharing their own experiences and concerns about the issue on social media.
“Why is this not being talked about more? This is such a massive problem,” said one reply.
Popular streamer Metaphor also thinks the bloom in the next Battlefield game (Battlefield 6) needs to be fixed, especially before the battle royale mode is released. They shared this opinion on X (formerly Twitter).
Honestly, I totally agree with what Battlefield 6 Meta said. They think bloom – that random spread when you shoot – needs to be way lower, and the actual kick of the guns should be tougher to manage. Basically, they want us to *earn* those long-range shots by learning to control the recoil, instead of just hoping the bullets land where we’re aiming thanks to random chance. It’d make things way more skill-based, which I’m all for!
I think Battlefield 6 needs less bullet spread (bloom) and more realistic gun recoil. Skill should determine accuracy, especially at long distances, not just random chance. What do you guys think? #Battlefield6 #BF6

Currently, each weapon in Battlefield 6 handles recoil differently. Some guns, like many of the Light Machine Guns, are harder to control than others. Assault Rifles and Submachine Guns, on the other hand, feel more stable and are generally easier to use.
It’s unclear if DICE will change this feature in the future, but they have several updates planned, including Season 1 with new maps and game modes. Hopefully, they’ll reduce the bloom effect in one of those updates.
