As a dedicated fan who has witnessed the evolution of League of Legends characters over the years, I am thrilled about Viktor’s upcoming visual and gameplay rework! The Arcane series has undeniably left an indelible mark on the LoL universe, and it’s fantastic to see Riot embracing this rich narrative.
After completing Arcane Season 2, it’s evident that Viktor’s character portrayed in the series differs significantly from his League of Legends counterpart. Nonetheless, exploratory diggers have unearthed files and images on the Public Beta Environment (PBE), hinting at a comprehensive visual and gameplay overhaul for him.
The TV series “Arcane” is so impressive that it leaves a long-lasting imprint on its original content, and Riot Games is wholeheartedly embracing it within the League of Legends world. Furthermore, there are plans for additional TV shows to unfold within this same universe.
If you’ve watched the series, you’d recognize his unique third arm with the laser, reminiscent of Viktor’s League of Legends character design. However, almost everything else about his persona underwent a significant change.
Based on data mining from the Public Beta Environment, it appears this won’t remain the case for much longer. Riot Games have confirmed that a Visual Gameplay Update (VGU) for Arcane is indeed underway, and Viktor is the champion in line to receive this update. While League of Legends has grand plans set for 2025, Viktor is expected to be released before then.
But what do we know about Viktor’s rework?
Viktor’s LoL rework explained
As a gaming enthusiast, I stumbled upon some exciting news about an upcoming character rework. It turns out that this information was unearthed by savvy data miners who discovered snippets of code and artwork hinting at the update. This newcomer is expected to debut on our screens slightly ahead of Mel Medarda, but they’re both hailing from Arcane and set to make their League of Legends debut soon.
Images allegedly leaked from the next Teamfight Tactics (TFT) update showcase the designs for some new characters. Contrary to League of Legends (LoL), these characters appear within the TFT setting.

The character models should closely resemble their ultimate League of Legends versions, with only minor differences, such as Viktor’s Arcane-inspired Legendary skin altering his appearance from the show version.
As for how we know the leaks are real, here’s the proof.
In simple terms, it has been confirmed that League of Legends character Viktor will undergo a makeover, marking the celebration for the upcoming Season 2 of Arcane.

On November 5, leaked footage showed scenes from the series, such as Viktor’s ultimate transformation, which hadn’t been seen by the public prior to Arcane’s grand finale being released.
Furthermore, BigBadBear_ has disclosed pictures of Viktor’s concept art and in-game models detailing his functionality. The leaker indicates that Viktor’s gameplay remains largely unaltered. However, his abilities may operate somewhat differently from before, with tweaks such as his ultimate ability scaling up based on the number of kills he obtains.
Based on information from League of Leaks, it appears that Viktor’s VGU (Visual and Gameplay Update) is scheduled for release on December 11.
For the time being, this is everything we have learned about Viktor’s remarkable journey. We will share new details as soon as further information becomes public.
