As a long-time League of Legends enthusiast and someone who has spent countless hours mastering the art of sniping with Jhin, I must admit that the recent theory about his appearance in Arcane Season 2 has piqued my interest. While I’m not entirely convinced yet, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement at the possibility of seeing him in a different context.
Are rumors circulating among League of Legends enthusiasts that character Jhin appeared in season 2 of the show? Let’s explore the validity of these claims together. Here’s what you should know.
After wrapping up my binge-watching of Arcane, I’m on tenterhooks as we approach the second and concluding season. Although the finale tied up most loose ends in the show’s main storyline, it also set the stage for the continued evolution of the League of Legends cinematic universe.
In addition to referencing past episodes, Arcane’s second season was filled with Easter eggs. These included subtle hints about new villains, the debut of new League of Legends Champions, and fans are scrutinizing every frame in search of all the secrets and references that Arcane subtly conveys.
Although numerous fan theories receive widespread support among the community, some are more debatable than others. One such theory, which has gained significant online traction but remains controversial for many League of Legends fans, is that Jhin, one of the game’s most beloved Champions, was subtly introduced in Arcane season 2.
Who is Jhin? League of Legends Champion origins explained
In a more natural and easier-to-understand way: League of Legends often features characters who are antiheroes or have a troubled past, and Jhin is one such character. He sees killing as a form of art and has spent most of his life imprisoned in Ionia before being released by the council of the region.
As a devoted gamer, immersed in the League of Legends universe, I find myself embodying the enigmatic figure of Jhin, an assassin serving Ionia’s council. My passion for chaos and bloodshed, fueled by my liberation from confinement, only strengthens my determination and success in this deadly profession. In the game, Jhin is undeniably a fan favorite Champion, his notoriety echoing across Summoner’s Rift.

In League of Legends (LoL), his weapon, named Whisper, delivers significant damage and possesses a mysterious dark enchantment. This enchantment grants additional killing blows against opponents. He primarily assumes the roles of a Sniper or Mage within the game.
Jhin Arcane Season 2 fan theory explored
Although Jhin isn’t directly presented or referenced in Arcane Season 2, numerous speculations about his appearance have popped up wildly on the internet.
Despite various characters contributing to the storyline of Arcane’s final season, the most intriguing discussion revolves around the unexpected manner in which Jhin made his appearance.
In Act 3 of Arcane Season 2, Caitlyn, Vi, and their team enlist numerous fresh recruits to counteract Ambessa and Viktor. A character who didn’t receive a name, even in the closing credits, shares striking similarities with Jhin, according to one observant fan on platform X (previously known as Twitter).
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but ponder: The enigmatic side character, who seemed to appear out of nowhere yet captivated our attention with his unique charm, might just be Jhin.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but speculate that the enigmatic side character might have been none other than Jhin. Seemingly out of the blue, he captured our attention, much like a masterful pianist playing an unexpected melody before marching into battle. His introverted nature and exquisite aesthetic sense added layers to his mysterious persona. And oh, the precision with which he wielded his sniper rifle, truly a sight to behold!
In a short period of just 24 hours, the original post spread rapidly across the internet, receiving an impressive 1.8 million views and earning over 60,000 likes.
A different Reddit conversation delves into the mysterious introduction of Jhin, as well as bringing up several other significant aspects about him.
More proofs that the guy who plays piano is Jhin

In the eighth episode of season 2 from Arcane, a piece on the piano accompanies Jayce’s impassioned speech to Piltover’s populace, urging them to unite for battle. As the music reaches its climax, the enigmatic figure behind the keys is none other than the young man rumored to be Jhin.
In alignment with the original post’s assertion, the piano you see now holds a special connection to the League of Legends (LoL) cinematic from 2019, specifically tied to a particular character. Fast forward to Episode 9, this character gets an incredible spotlight, banding together with Vi to bring about Vikto’s cocoon’s destruction.
It wasn’t until their fourth attempt that they succeeded in breaking the cocoon, mimicking how Jhin’s fourth bullet often delivers the fatal strike.
Why not everyone is on board with this theory
Although several people have presented compelling arguments that suggest the enigmatic character could indeed be Jhin, yet a significantly large number of League of Legends enthusiasts remain skeptical due to this portrayal being unlike their previous expectations.
94Necrit, a well-known League of Legends streamer, shared the same post earlier, implying that the account amassing 60k likes might have been automated. He said, “Folks… if those 60k likes aren’t bots, then I don’t know what is!
One X user commented, “People are reaching hard”, while others have pointed out that the character enlisted to defend Piltover is inaccurate.
It’s highly unlikely that Jhin would choose to defend a city willingly. Quite the contrary, it seems more fitting for him to align with the Glorious Evolved, captivated as he might be by their enchanting allure.
In an interview with Necrit on YouTube, Link confirmed that one out of the three series they’re working on has been in development for a full year.

It’s uncertain whether this is Jhin or not, but what we do know is that there are three upcoming Arcane series in development. Each of these new shows will delve into unique tales and take place in various Regions within League of Legends.
As such, there is a chance Jhin will pop up very soon on TV screens.
