Domino’s Pizza is updating its look with a new logo and, for the first time in its 65-year history, is also introducing a jingle.
Okay, so Domino’s just dropped a huge update – their first big makeover in over ten years! They’ve got a whole new look – new colors, a fresh logo, even the uniforms the delivery drivers wear are different. They even created a new font, called ‘Domino’s Sans,’ for everything. It’s a total visual refresh, and as a gamer who orders a *lot* of pizza, I definitely noticed!
The packaging has been updated with brighter reds and blues. For special pizzas like our Handmade Pan and Parmesan Stuffed Crust varieties, we’re using stylish black and gold boxes.
The company even tweaked its name in select designs, adding an extra “m” to spell “Dommmino’s.”
Domino’s updated its look by blending classic and contemporary designs to appeal to today’s pizza fans and those to come, according to a company statement.
I was reading that Kate Trumbull, the CMO, said they’re really focusing on making everything work well for platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels with this update. It sounds like they’re thinking a lot about short-form video!
According to Trumbull, advertising used to be simple – a 30-second commercial during popular TV shows was often enough. Now, you have to grab people’s attention almost immediately on platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube, and a catchy jingle can help you do that instantly.
Domino’s adds company song for first time in its 65-year history
Along with a fresh new look, Domino’s is launching its first-ever company jingle, performed by country singer Shaboozey. The song, titled “Dommmino’s,” will be used in advertising on social media and television in the months ahead.
The full rollout will hit stores, packaging, and digital platforms through late 2025.
It’s still unclear how customers will react to the new branding. Past rebranding efforts haven’t always been successful.
Earlier this year, Cracker Barrel received a lot of backlash after changing its classic logo by removing the familiar ‘Old-Timer’ character, Uncle Hershel, and started renovating its restaurants with a more contemporary style.
Following a lot of controversy, the company changed its mind and went back to its original plan, reinstating the old logo and stopping the renovations.
Domino’s will be hoping its new era is a hit with fans and doesn’t end up falling… like dominoes.
