PlayStation Icon Blue DualSense Controller Officially Revealed By Sony

Sony has announced a new limited-edition DualSense controller called the Icon Blue Special Edition. It features a cool, layered blue design and will be available for preorder at Walmart starting October 20th for $85.

This accessory’s color scheme takes inspiration from the iconic blue light that appears on the PS5 when it turns on. According to Sony designer Leo Cardoso, the design aims to recreate the “feeling of excitement and amazement” you get when starting up the console. Subtle details like Japanese Katakana characters on the back and PlayStation symbols on the directional pad add to the overall aesthetic.

Looking for a unique controller? Sony is releasing limited edition DualSense controllers based on popular PlayStation 5 games and a classic franchise. The new God of War 20th Anniversary controller recently launched, featuring a design inspired by Kratos’ iconic tattoo. You can pre-order it now for $85, and it will be available on October 23rd.

You can still buy the limited-edition Death Stranding 2 DualSense controller from Sony for $85. It’s black with orange details and features designs from the in-game Drawbridge organization. The collector’s edition of the game is also available, and the standard edition is currently on sale for $50.

Unlike the futuristic look of the Death Stranding 2 controller, the Ghost of Yotei DualSense controller offers a more artistic design. It features beautiful inkbrush artwork inspired by the game and comes in either gold or black for $85.

To celebrate 30 years of PlayStation, a 400-page hardcover book is planned for release in 2026. It promises to be a complete visual history of the console, featuring never-before-seen photos from Sony’s development archives and stories from the designers who created it.

During the Prime Big Deal Days sale, PlayStation Studios is offering discounts on several games, including Stellar Blade, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut.
