Valorant 11.07b update patch notes bring Veto as new Agent, but there’s a catch

The latest update to Valorant, version 11.07b, introduces a new agent named Veto. However, Veto won’t be playable in every game mode right away.

Valorant had a major summer in 2025! The popular five-on-five shooter marked its fifth birthday with a big upgrade to Unreal Engine 5, added some new maps for players to explore, and made changes to the characters available in the game.

NRG won the Valorant Champions tournament in Paris, and the event also introduced a new playable character named Veto.

The new character, the Senegalese Sentinel, is causing some worry among players because of how effectively he can stop opponents’ abilities. But after the latest update (patch 11.07b), they’re finally getting a chance to test him out.

Veto joins Valorant Agent pool, but not in TDM

Valorant has been updated with a new Agent, Veto, and a new game mode called Skirmish, as part of patch 11.07b.

The new Sentinel character isn’t playable in all game modes right now. According to Riot Games, Veto is temporarily unavailable in Team Deathmatch because of a technical issue, but they plan to fix it with update 11.08.

You can still experiment with this agent in other game types like Skirmish, Spike Rush, and regular matches. But you won’t be able to try them out for free in Team Deathmatch.

Valorant now includes a new game mode called Skirmish. It’s a quick, action-packed mode designed for any team size – from one-versus-one battles up to five-versus-five – and takes place on smaller maps.

It’s basically a headshot fest with abilities. The first team or player to 10 wins the game.

AGENT UPDATES

  • VETO IS HERE. Empowered by an unstoppable DNA mutation, Senegalese enforcer Veto defies the rules of engagement by nullifying his opponent’s powers and technology. On Veto’s battlefield, gunplay is your only guarantee.

Abilities:

Chokehold

  1. EQUIP a viscous fragment of your mutation. FIRE to throw. The fragment deploys upon impact, creating a trap to hold enemies in place. Held enemies are Deafened and Decayed. Enemies can destroy the trap before activation.

Crosscut

  1. EQUIP a vortex. FIRE to place on the ground. While in range and looking at the vortex, REACTIVATE to teleport to the vortex. During the BUY PHASE, the vortex can be reclaimed to be REDEPLOYED.

Interceptor

  1. EQUIP the Interceptor. FIRE to place the Interceptor at projected location. Once placed, RE-USE to activate. Once active, it will destroy any utility that would BOUNCE off a player and/or be destroyed naturally by gunfire. Enemies can destroy the Interceptor.

Evolution

  1. INSTANTLY begin to fully mutate, gaining a combat stim, regeneration, and becoming IMMUNE to all forms of debuffs.

Note: Veto is currently disabled in TDM due to a bug. He will be re-enabled in TDM in patch 11.08
