More characters revealed for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

I’m so excited! Koei Tecmo just updated the Japanese website for *Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment*, and they revealed five new playable characters! Plus, they released a bunch of new screenshots, which I can’t wait to check out!

The screenshots strongly suggest that four out of the five characters shown will be playable, with unique actions during battles. These four characters also represent the four main races from the Breath of the Wild games: the Goron, Zora, Rito, and Gerudo.

Below you’ll find our summaries and proposed spellings for the names of the new characters. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will launch globally on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 6th.

Argasta

Argasta (アーガスタ) is the leader of the Goron tribe and a close, old friend of King Rauru. He’s known for being intelligent and open-minded.

Kia

Kia is a Zora princess and a skilled martial artist. Her brave and determined fighting style inspires those around her.

Krafika

Krafika is a clever and skilled warrior who now leads the Rito tribe. Though he sometimes speaks in a roundabout way, he deeply cares for his friends and takes his responsibilities seriously.

Aldy

The final playable character revealed in this update is Aldy, a compassionate warrior who unites the Gerudo tribe. She’s initially seen working for Ganondorf, a uniquely rare male Gerudo born only once a century, and therefore destined to lead the tribe.

Aldy is unique among this group of characters because she’s the only one whose entire face is visible, likely because she previously fought for Ganondorf’s Gerudo army. Screenshots show her sometimes wearing a helmet while working alongside the other heroes.

Lanaria

This update features Lanaria, a maid entrusted by King Rauru to care for Zelda. While she appears kind and gentle, she’s also efficient and deeply curious about magical creatures.

Lanaria is often seen with a notebook, but she doesn’t have many screenshots of herself in action or fighting battles.
