Taylor Sheridan continues to deliver hits, and his newest show, Dutton Ranch, is no exception. The Yellowstone spinoff launched with a record-breaking premiere, attracting 12.9 million viewers on Paramount+ within its first week. This easily surpassed the previous record held by Mobland, which had 8.8 million views. Dutton Ranch also became the most-streamed series of the week, according to Nielsen ratings. In addition to streaming, the premiere aired on the Paramount Network and drew 2.9 million viewers.
Taylor Sheridan continues to prove his success with the launch of Dutton Ranch, adding to his growing television empire. This year, he’s demonstrated that the Yellowstone world can thrive even without the original series or Kevin Costner. Dutton Ranch focuses on beloved characters Beth and Rip as they build a new life in Texas. Meanwhile, Marshals, following Beth’s brother Kayce on CBS, quickly became the network’s most popular new show. And The Madison, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and set within the Yellowstone universe but with a completely new cast, attracted 8 million viewers in its first ten days on Paramount+. All this success comes as Sheridan has moved to a new deal with NBCUniversal, allowing him to create shows for Peacock and NBC starting in 2029. Despite his departure, Paramount is clearly seeing a strong return on their investment during his time with them.
