ChudTheBuilder could be out of jail soon as CSGOEmpire owner offers to pay $1M bond

Popular streamer ChudTheBuilder might be getting out of jail soon. The owner of CSGOEmpire, Ossi “Monarch” Ketola, has apparently offered to cover the $1 million needed for his bail.

Dalton Eatherly, who goes by ChudTheBuilder online, was arrested after a shooting happened near the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville, Tennessee, on May 13th. He’s a livestreamer from the Nashville area.

He faces charges including attempted murder, using a gun while committing a serious crime, aggravated assault, and endangering someone with a deadly weapon.

At a court hearing on May 21st, Eatherly’s bail was lowered from $1.25 million to $1 million. If released, he would be required to wear a GPS monitor, give up any weapons he owns, and avoid discussing the case online or in interviews.

During the case about the attempted murder of streamer ChudTheBuilder, the judge revealed someone offered to cover his $1 million bail. The judge also decided a hearing will be held to see if money raised through crowdfunding after May 13th can be used to pay that bail.

During the hearing, the judge made a key decision about the funds Eatherly raised online. After the district attorney questioned it, the judge ruled that any money donated through GiveSendGo after May 13th cannot be used for his bail at this time.

I’m so glad to share that the fundraiser has already brought in over $270,000 as of May 22nd! It’s amazing how much support there’s been, especially after what happened at the courthouse. From what I understand, the money can still be used to help with legal costs, but they’re going to take another look at how the funds are used during an upcoming hearing.

CSGOEmpire owner Monarch linked to ChudTheBuilder bond offer

The decision was made just before reports surfaced online about an anonymous donor offering to pay the $1 million bond. Several online personalities have identified this donor as Monarch, who owns the cryptocurrency casino Duel and the CSGOEmpire Counter-Strike gambling platform.

On May 22nd, streamer Paul Miller stated that his sponsor, Duel, was working to help cover the costs for someone named Chud, with $1 million reportedly available and being processed through their legal team.

My sponsor, Duel, is working hard to secure Chud’s release. They have $1 million prepared and are simply awaiting payment details from their legal team. I’m incredibly thankful if they succeed, and I’m very proud to be associated with Duel. Over and out.

Lord Miles, who is sponsored by Duel, said he was told Monarch was the one attempting to post Eatherly’s bail.

Okay, so I just found out it’s Monarch – the company that sponsors me, Duel – who’s trying to get Chud out of whatever trouble he’s in. They’ve got the money ready to go, but apparently the system is being a total pain and making the transfer super difficult. It’s frustrating, honestly!

I just found out that Monarch, the company sponsoring me (Duel), is working to get Chud released. They have the money available, but the process is proving difficult. Hopefully, we’ll have positive updates shortly. Free Chud!

A screenshot shared online seems to show Monarch saying his lawyers were finalizing the arrangements.

The message confirmed that they were the senders and stated their legal team was finalizing details. They didn’t want to share more information until the deal was complete, but hoped to have everything settled within 24 hours.

Following a court hearing on May 21st, it appears someone has offered to cover Eatherly’s bail. The judge mentioned this offer during the hearing, but confirmed at the time that the arrangements weren’t yet complete. WKRN reports the judge stated the person was willing to pay, but the specifics were still being discussed.

Monarch gained attention in 2025 when he lost $19 million playing poker online against Dan “Jungleman” Cates. He later made light of the loss on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “Haha, lost about $19 million in one go. But it was worth it for the entertainment!”

Eatherly is still being held at the Montgomery County Jail while awaiting bond. His case will now be presented to a grand jury, and a hearing is set for May 26th.
