The Batman 2 Set Videos Reveal First Day of Filming

Fans have been given a sneak peek at the first day of filming! It looks like things are already getting pretty chaotic on set.

A fan account called KCALOS recently shared a video on Twitter offering a close-up view of the first day of filming for The Batman: Part II. The video, shot in the Queensway Tunnel – which connects Liverpool and Birkenhead under the River Mersey – shows several Gotham City Police cars driving through. One car appears to have a shadowy figure riding on its roof, and later emerges with a broken windshield.

What Fans Can Expect from The Batman: Part II

Robert Pattinson will once again play Batman (Bruce Wayne) in The Batman: Part II. Jeffrey Wright, Michael Caine, and Colin Farrell are also expected to return as James Gordon, Alfred Pennyworth, and the Penguin, respectively. While not confirmed, many fans anticipate seeing Barry Keoghan reprise his role as the Joker.

Viewers are excited about new cast members in The Batman: Part II, including Sebastian Stan as Harvey Dent. While fans are eager to see Stan take on the role of the future Two-Face, the introduction of Gilda Dent – known to many as the serial killer Holiday – has sparked even more discussion about the film’s plot.

Why The Batman: Part II Will Be So Much Bigger Than Its Predecessor

Some fans are hoping to see the classic DC Comics villain Mister Freeze in The Batman: Part II. This expectation started after director Matt Reeves shared a post revealing the Batmobile will be equipped with snow tires, suggesting a winter setting and potentially the introduction of the ice-themed villain.

Despite fan theories about Mister Freeze appearing in the next Batman film, actor Sebastian Stan has hinted that audiences will find out when the sequel is released next year. In May, Stan described the movie as very ambitious, expressing confidence in director Matt Reeves, whom he’s long admired. He believes the film will be impressive and full of unexpected twists.

The Batman: Part II is currently slated to arrive in theaters on Oct. 1, 2027.
