Aang prepares for war in Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 trailer.
Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender is a fantasy series created by Albert Kim. It’s a fresh take on the popular animated show from Nickelodeon. The story follows characters called “benders” who have the power to control elements like water, earth, fire, and air.
As a huge fan of Avatar, I was so excited to see the new trailer for season 2 on Netflix! It looks like they’re really leaning into the action this time around, giving us a taste of some incredible fight scenes and bending powers. The trailer shows the war continuing to escalate across the Earth Kingdom, and honestly, it’s got me counting down the days until the new season drops. It’s great to see the live-action adaptation building on the beloved animated series.
The new trailer picks up after the intense showdown at the Northern Water Tribe, following Aang and his friends as they continue their journey. With global tensions escalating, they travel to Ba Sing Se, hoping to find allies and support in their fight against Fire Lord Ozai and the Fire Nation. The trailer suggests a season filled with conflict between the nations and large-scale battles.
In season two of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Aang continues his training to master all four elements – Water, Earth, Fire, and Air – so he can bring peace back to the world. The season focuses on Aang and his friends trying to get the reclusive Earth King to help them in their fight.
The new season of Avatar: The Last Airbender will bring back familiar faces, including Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, and Dallas Liu as Zuko. Joining them will be Miyako as Mai, Elizabeth Yu as Azula, Momona Tamada as Ty Lee, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh, Maria Zhang as Suki, and Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai.
Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender is inspired by the popular, award-winning animated series that originally aired on Nickelodeon. Both the original show and the new live-action adaptation tell the story of Aang and his companions as they work to overcome the Fire Nation. The animated series was created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, and featured the voices of Zach Tyler Eisen as Aang, Mae Whitman as Katara, Jack De Sena as Sokka, Dante Basco as Zuko, Jessie Flower as Toph Beifong, Dee Bradley Baker as Appa and Momo, Mako and Greg Baldwin as Uncle Iroh, Grey Griffin as Azula, and Mark Hamill as Fire Lord Ozai.
Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 will premiere on Netflix on June 25, 2026.
