After some leaks and guesses from fans, the new Minecraft mob, the Blub, has finally been shown off – and it’s incredibly cute!
Over the years, Minecraft has added lots of charming new creatures, like baby mobs and cheerful Ghasts. While most of these have been unveiled during Minecraft Live events, one surprisingly appeared as a Hallmark Christmas ornament. This caused a lot of discussion among fans about its look and which game it would eventually be featured in.
We now have a clear view of this cute new creature, which is probably one of the first new additions to Minecraft Dungeons 2 that’s been revealed unofficially.
Leaked Blub mob design set to appear in Minecraft Dungeons 2
People noticed a potential new Minecraft mob appearing on the Hallmark ornament website, and fans immediately began creating their own designs and guessing if it will be added to Minecraft Dungeons 2 or the original Minecraft game.
We’ve gotten our first glimpse of the Blub, and it’s officially confirmed to be included in Minecraft Dungeons 2. A pharmacy company recently shared a look at its cute, blue character design.

Okay, so the Blub is seriously adorable! It looks like a cross between a bunny and one of those helpful Allays. It’s got big ears and four legs, but its eyes are a bit… unsettling, actually – they’re bright red! That made me think it might be a little dangerous, but honestly, something that cute couldn’t possibly be mean, right? I’m trying to forget what I said about those Piglins… they tricked me!
As a huge Minecraft Dungeons fan, I’m so excited about this new mob! We already know it’s coming to Minecraft Dungeons 2 in Fall 2026, which isn’t that far away. And considering how many of the original Dungeons mobs eventually made it into regular Minecraft, it seems pretty likely we’ll see this one – maybe after the Chaos Cubed update, or around the time Minecraft Dungeons 2 actually comes out. I’m really hoping they bring it to the main game too!
We don’t yet know what the Blub is like, how it fits into the game’s story, or even if we’ll be able to have it as a pet. Mojang hasn’t officially confirmed it exists! But if it looks this adorable, it’s bound to be a welcome addition… we hope!
