Hacks Co-Star Confirms Their Storyline Has Ended For Good

has finally returned for a fifth season, but that doesn’t mean every cast member is around to stay.

The actress really focused on the story of the episode for her role, and she was thrilled to learn her character was working with Jimmy. She explained, “It was unbelievable to be signed by Jimmy! During filming, I actually felt like I was watching from outside myself. Seeing these characters I’d followed for so long work so quickly and intelligently was just amazing.”

I was so excited to hear about my cameo on Hacks! Seriously, it came completely out of the blue – I thought it was a prank at first! I’m a massive fan of the show, actually. My mom got me hooked on it years ago, and whenever I’d visit her in Texas, we’d immediately throw on our pajamas and binge-watch the whole season, laughing our heads off. So, getting the chance to be on the show felt like meeting heroes, especially because the writing is just brilliant. And then they wanted me to play myself? It was amazing!

O’Connor explained that he’d never played himself in a cameo before, and he was so thrilled about meeting the cast of Hacks that he couldn’t sleep the night before. He said it was a surreal experience, and suddenly, there he was, immersed in their world.

As a huge fan of Xena, I was really interested to hear what Lucy O’Connor thought about potentially doing a spinoff. She basically said she wouldn’t even consider it without Lucy Lawless! She explained that the show’s magic really came from the dynamic between their characters, the amazing chemistry, the humor, and just the overall connection they had. She truly believes a Xena world just wouldn’t be the same without Xena herself, and honestly, I completely agree!
