Once upon a time, Netflix unveiled a teaser ahead of its new adaptation’s release.
Netflix offers a huge variety of shows and movies, including many adaptations of existing stories. They’ve also created some well-regarded Westerns, such as The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, The Harder They Fall, The Power of the Dog, The Abandons, Concrete Cowboy, and Godless.
Netflix is bringing back the classic Western series, Little House on the Prairie, with a new adaptation. Showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine (known for The Housemaid and The Boys) described the show to Netflix’s Tudum as “a love story about family—a family you’ll want to connect with and spend time with.”
I’m really excited about the new adaptation of Little House on the Prairie! They’ve got Alice Halsey as Laura Ingalls, which I think is perfect casting. Luke Bracey will be playing her dad, Charles, and Crosby Fitzgerald is taking on the role of Caroline, the mom. Little Skywalker Hughes is going to be Mary. For those who don’t know, the books – originally published between 1932 and 1943 – were written by Laura Ingalls Wilder and are just a classic series for kids.
