Umamusume: Pretty Derby and Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond are teaming up for a collaboration! Haru Urara and Oguri Cap will be the main characters representing the Umamusume side of things.
Cygames is teaming up two of its most popular games! Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, the follow-up to the popular digital card game, will feature characters from Umamusume: Pretty Derby, the globally successful horse-racing idol game. This crossover event will bring fans of both series together.
I’m a huge fan of Umamusume – it’s amazing how they take real racehorses and turn them into adorable anime idols! It’s built such a dedicated fanbase in the mobile gaming world. And now, something really cool is happening! The Umamusume universe is crossing over with Shadowverse, and some of the most popular Umamusume characters are becoming playable cards in that game. I’m so excited! This is a dream come true for fans of both series.
Haru Urara gets official TCG card
The event kicks off on October 9, 2025, and will be available for a short period in Japan. During this time, players can collect special rewards based on the event’s theme.
The collaboration is headed by Haru Urara, a truly famous character from Umamusume. Interestingly, in real life, Haru Urara became well-known throughout Japan because of her incredibly long series of losses, which surprisingly made her a fan favorite as an underdog.
In Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, her card design is inspired by Bellringer Angel, highlighting how she focuses on helping allies and playing defensively.
This collaboration is particularly meaningful, coming only a few weeks after the real Haru Urara passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 29. Given her reputation as Japan’s most beloved underdog, her inclusion in Shadowverse feels like both a team-up and a respectful homage to her memory.
She won’t be alone, however. Another popular Umamusume, Oguri Cap, will also be featured in the event, with a card design themed around Odin, Twilight Fate. While Haru focuses on supporting the team and playing defensively, Oguri’s design highlights her powerful attacks and ability to eliminate all opponents.
As stated by Saiga NAK, both cards are obtainable through daily login rewards and special, temporary missions. This means they aren’t part of the standard gacha system, making them available to all players.
This isn’t the first time Umamusume and Shadowverse have teamed up. In 2022, the original Shadowverse game had a big collaboration, adding Umamusume characters as playable leaders, emblems, and card sleeves.
Currently, there’s no official news about when the Shadowverse and Umamusume collaboration will be available worldwide.
